“Quiet Lovely Boutique Hotel”

This is a charming small family run hotel not far from the centre of Salzburg. The staff are incredibly helpful, polite and spoke great English. Nothing was too much trouble and the recommendation of a pub to watch the rugby in was excellent!!! The breakfast was excellent with a vary imaginative range of home made produce.

We used trip advisor and selected this hotel because it was reasonable and highly rated...it exceeded all of our expectations. The staff was extremely friendly--even though we booked through a budget agency, they upgraded us to a suite. The staff was very helpful in terms of things to do, see; they even basically planned our skiing vacation. When my wife was feeling bad, they even went through the trouble to help us order in some food. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The bus station was across the street but even without, only a 15-20 minute scenic walk into the center of town (Salzburg is geographically pretty small). The cherry on top was a complementary breakfast at the conclusion of our stay, which was delectable. A very knowledgeable and friendly staff in an exceptional hotel. Would stay there again 100% and recommend highly to anyone going to Salzburg.

We caught a taxi from the train station as we had a few bags with us and I was expecting the hotel to be a long way out of town, but it was about five minutes in the taxi (8 euro).

Our welcome was warm at reception and as we wanted to go skiing early the next morning we asked for some information, the girl didn't know but she phoned her colleague at home on her day off and found out all the info we needed.

Our room was lovely, great four poster bed, beautiful bathroom, loads of hanging room for wet jackets, ski gear, little balcony to watch the snow falling.

The staff went out of our way to assist with booking concerts, helping with washing (12 euro a load - washed, dried and ironed), making our stay generally as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast is the best buffet I have ever seen - everything you could think of was there from cereals, breads, fruits, juices, meats and cheese.......it was a foodie heaven.

Not the easiest place to get to as the hotel is outside the centre and far from the train station - but our efforts were well worth it. We were very pleasantly surprised as we were given a free upgrade to the Exclusiv Suite upon check in!

Of course this may not happen to you but not only is the hotel a very nice, homely place to stay, there are nice little touches that make the place special. Very helpful staff, chocolates at the reception counter, art pieces on the walls and really nice decor overall. Breakfast was always brilliant with 9 jars of honey to choose from, many choices of cereals, muesli and breads, as well as different tastes catered to - like avocado paste in a small jar, dates wrapped with ham and the cutest eggs you'll ever eat.

From the main train station you need to take Bus No. 6 to Volksgarten (there are 2 routes, ask the driver if he's going there) and then change to Bus No. 7 for 1 more stop. After alighting walk down the road and turn right at the next junction - you will see the hotel. Location is a bit of an issue with heavy suitcases but it's worth it! If energetic you can walk to the city centre then take the bus No. 7 back in the evening. The friendly girls at the reception will be able to show you how.

Stayed at this hotel back in August and it was fantastic. Room was exstreamly modern and well appointed, the electric bikes for hire were great fun to ride around the city, staff were exstreamly friendly and helpfull and the breakfast was incredible everything from french bubbles to smoked salmon. Best place to stay in Salzburg will definitely be back next time we are in town.
