We were disappointed to see that the animals were kept in small cages that felt a bit cruel.
There were some highlights though. There is a cage for feeding parrots (for extra charge) and a place for feeding giraffes which the kids loved, albeit they charged 10 euros for a small basket of leaves.

Thank Gadi H

As some have stated already, the state of the enclosures is very poor. A lot of the animals are stressed out (especially birds, reptiles and primates/monkeys), depressed and driven to such a poor state that some have begun to hurt themselves, as animals do in these circumstances. The penguins were in such a poor habitat, I felt so bad for them I started tearing up. The things that pissed me off the most though, were the monkey enclosures and the hornbill enclosure. Where do I even start? They were as depressed as the elephant which was all alone with a tiny space to move around in and no pack to hang out with or interact with. I even saw a duck with a broken leg and 5 tumours on his wing! All the animals were trying to escape (which is natural), but to this extend, I believe it's a bit extreme. The otters which is the first thing you see right through the gate are absolutely devastating to witness, they were not only crying but were also jumping up and begging to escape! The hornbills, which should be making a ton of noise were more silent than the fish and were flying from wall to wall to escape but only got hurt in the process. No matter how great the parrot show was, this is what matters most and it was HORRIBLE! The reptiles seemed fine but i don't think they were, since most were in such a small glass enclosure they couldn't move around (for example the first rattlesnakes on the right). I understand its a zoo and that these animals in captivity generally are not happy but is that really the excuse someone gives for not bettering themselves and their services? As with most reviews, take everything with a teaspoon of salt and if you do decide to visit, I hope you at least enjoy the surrounding area and the view the Coral Bay provides. Have a nice one! (whoever is reading :P)

Although I am not a lover of zoo's this was an excellent day out. Kids were amazed to see lions, tigers, elephants and to even feed the giraffe (Even though 10 Euro was a little steep for 2 minutes)

Okay, it isn't London Zoo, but there is plenty to see and lots to amuse the kids. Especially if it is a dull day, weatherwise.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE MEDIA OR CRITICS! Lately I’ve seen a story and a couple of reviews which are horrible! Me and my girlfriend visited the zoo on the 31/03/18, and we had such an amazing time, the animals are well looked after, and are in great hands, these people are fully qualified animal experts. Me and my girlfriend are massive animal lovers, and we were pleased to see what we did. We also went twice to an amazing bird show, which was being shown by 2 lovely ladies called Demi & Nicky, they were both absolutely brilliant, I can’t express how good they were. We WERE told as to what not to do with the best interest for the birds, and they were brilliant, they give children an opportunity to feed the birds, it was amazing. Then to top it off, they brought out a tiger cub, which we were allowed to feed gently and have a quick picture for 20 euro, which is a bargain, the money from this goes back into the animals, which is what every animal lover wants. Plenty of people had a chance with it, however daisy the tiger cub got playful so with the animals best interest she placed her back with her sisters, and bought out her other sister for a feed, the same happened again, people got photos, and then the tiger cub finished her milk and went back for play with her sisters , and it was beautiful to see. A few people missed the opportunity to have an interaction with the cubs as it was in the tigers best interest to not proceed anymore because they were becoming playful and weren’t interested in their milk. The ladies doing the show were truly brilliant, giving us lots of information about every species. We are so great full and thankful towards them for just being absolutely brilliant. The media and some silly humans just love to write cruel and unnecessary stories to get attention, however these animals are very very well looked after!
