The photos currently do not do great credit to this absolutely central apartment in Fuzeta. At the one end of the street is the small main square with restaurants, coffee shops and bars; at the other end of the street - largely pedestrian walking - is the Fuzato Mercado (fish market) and the quayside on the River. This was surprising excellence in an apartment and we were thoroughly comfortable for our entire stay. The roof terrace is sheltered and warm: fabulous for sipping a late night Vinho Verde or gazing at the stars so clearly to be seen above. As for the main street, I thought it would be noisy but I leapt up to record the dawn chorus of birds from this central spot in Fuzeta. Everything we could need was provided, from the towels to extra bedding, toaster, coffee machine (with filter bags) and a vast cavern of a fridge with freezer that we could not fill during our stay, but then, Fuzeta has many excellent restaurants and we ate at a different one every day just for the fun of it. Not only was our flight delayed when our easyJet A319 was struck by lightning on its approach to Gatwick, so we were very late arriving - met personally and shown around as if we'd arrived in the morning - but also we were early leaving, so had to rouse our hosts from their rest in order to receive our keys before seven in the morning. All was fine and fabulous; this flat is amazing and perfect in every way. I will not hesitate in returning and hope to bring friends next time and rent the larger apartment upstairs; we stayed on the 1st floor in apartment D, more than ample room enough for the two of us. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to rent the apartment for a week's stay. The design is excellent, the flat is superbly appointed and I thoroughly recommend these apartments to all who desire perfection as well as pleasure in their rented accommodation. Many thanks Ilidio! Oh, and thanks too to Trip Advisor through whom I booked this holiday rental; doing so took all the anxiety out of a first-time proper stay here in Fuzeta, a village we have loved visiting when passing for many years now. Finding the apartment is easy if you know how: I'll include a sketch with my photographs in the near future...but look for the market, find the street as shown on the Google map, and walk as far as the children's shop on your right hand side - the entrance to the newly-finished apartments is opposite.
