On a busy day, with people queuing up to be served in the shop and to be seated in the restaurant, it was very interesting to observe the staff dealing competently with the situation. Our table reservation was dealt with efficiently by a smiling and competent waitress. The menu is, of course, not huge, but the choice is good. The lobster roll was delicious, as well as the lobster ‘vol au vent’. I had a light salad with asparagus and burrata and there was a minor disappointment in that my burrata was served straight out of the fridge, very cold. Burrata should always be served at room temperature, as everybody knows, at least in Italy! However our meal was not spoilt and we greatly enjoyed the wine, desserts, tea, coffee etc. The decor is very ‘refined french’ and pleasant. The service, as mentioned previously, is outstanding!
