We had a great stay for one week in Valletta!
The house is located at a corner of two small streets.
To reach the Apartment you have to climb a lot of stairs until you reach the 4th floor, which is quite exhausting. But the Apartment is really nice, small but cosy and tastefully furnished. We also liked the terrace, even if it is not what would call a terrace in Germany. It is a roof covered with a roofing paper and a small wall around. Its advantage for us was that it is located in the shadow in the morning and in the late afternoon. As we had 26-30 degrees in October we were very thankful for that. The area is very busy in the morning because a lot of people working in the houses around, so you will hear the typical sounds of a city in the morning. But that didn’t bother us.
There are a lot of nice restaurants, bars and shops around.
From the Apartment you reach the Main Bus Station or the Sliema Ferry in 10 minutes. So it is perfectly located to travel everywhere at Malta.
Arthur, the owner is very nice, helpful and always reachable. When we arrived, there were already water, butter, cheese etc. and bread for us in the Apartment. He also arranged a transfer from the Airport for 20 Euro.
P.S. There is no Coffee machine in the Apartment - so bring your own Equipment if you don't like Nescafe.

The apartment is in the heart of Valletta, which at the time of year of our visit was buzzing. The locals do start work early - about 6am and sounds do reverberate along the narrow streets but we quickly nodded off again when woken by the various noises, so not a problem for us. Of an evening, bars and restaurants sprang up in the surrounding streets.
We stayed in the apartment below the studio one because the penthouse was booked already but ours offered a spacious living room as well as the bedroom, kitchenette and shower/toilet. It appeared to have been recently fitted out and felt both light and airy - a lovely space. It was 3 floors up a winding staircase and had 3 windows to view the streets below. Only a short walk down to the sandstone rocks off which you could swim - sweet relief for us in the August heat and the bus station was also only 5 minutes away. A great location and a lovely property. Arthur was quick to reply to both emails and phone and was extremely helpful.
