“lovely appartment in a wonderful city to see interesting sights”
Valletta has steep and narrow streets - so even if the flat has an elevator it might be difficult for people with walking disabilities to get to the house
and - if neighbours want to "reserve" the elevator on their floor - one has to walk downstairs to "set the elevator free" - so at least one family member should be able to walk without problems, one (nice and cool) bedroom can be reached over romantic and several 100 years old spiral stairs - we did love to go there.

“Lovely place to stay in central Valletta”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Mint Penthouse (1 week at the beginning of July). The location could not have been better - just one street over from the main shopping street in Valletta, close to the ferry to Sliema. The apartment was large and airy, and we got a lot of use out of the terrace. I would not hesitate to recommend it- be beware of the additional charges which felt slightly money-grubbing: €10 for weekend check-in, €10 for weekend check-out, €3.50 a day for wifi, €5 an hour for check-outs later than 10am (even though there was no-one due after us). So although the apartment was really fantastic, it was a little let down by the personal side of things. Hence, only 4 stars rather than 5

Delighted you had on the whole a very satisfying stay, I would just like to point out that directions provided on our part are via a google map link with the full address. As you mentioned we advise all our guest to take our transfer method as this does offer a stress free arrival. In terms of the second bedroom this is very well documented on the advert having spiral stairs to access the bedroom and a picture displaying the room. In terms of damp this is coming from the high humidity levels we are subjected to in Malta, in fact you will see the roofs of cars wet early morning even in July/August, being surrounded directly by the sea creates this type of environment, but despite your points which we value we are happy you enjoyed your trip to 'Old Mint' Rgrds Paul...
