Joseph's Place is amazing and beautiful, the view is outstanding, the kitchen, living areas and bedrooms are great, but to get to the apartment there are multiple flights of stairs, making it physically challenging so if you suffer in physical challenges this may not be the best place for you, also one of the only negatives is the bathroom and the living room air conditioning. The bathroom is not the best, the shower spills over everywhere and the toilet is unstable. The air conditioning in the living room doesn't work at all, but the bedroom air conditioning works brilliantly. This apartment is just a walks away from the Valleta city as well as the bus terminus. Overall a brilliant place for people who are physically able to get to the apartment, a great view and place to stay.
The apartment was gorgeous - amazing views and really comfortable to hang out in. Joseph met us at the apartment and showed us around including a mini history of the area we could see and providing bread, cheese, ham and milk for the morning which was a lovely touch.
Perfect for a couple or two couples or for a young family (there's even a cot).
This is property is a very special one. The design is modern and uncluttered, well fitted out with the necessities of an apartment and considerable thought has gone into the layout. As it is still a reasonably new renovation there are a few minor adjustments being made. Joseph and his team were super helpful. I have a minor mobility issue and they were very thoughtful with organising cases etc as the apartment is top floor and unfortunately permission wasn't granted to put a lift in during the renovations. Access to the bus and ferry system is a short (but steepish) walk away, as are the main sightseeing places of Valetta itself. History pours out of every stone in this area.
The joy really is the view - it is worth the climb up the steps. For those who want to have some relaxation while on holiday there is always something to be seen overlooking the Grand Harbour - small dingy's through to cruise liners, pilot boats, tug boats etc yet look over the old bastion fortifications and there is peace and quiet to take in.
The area has good restaurants but I prefer sitting watching the view at night to nightclubs so cannot comment on that aspecgt.
Thanks Joseph and team for a wonderful stay.
We stayed in the Palais d'Orange for 3 nights at the beginning of November with our 2 young children. Our first visit to Malta was made very special by the care and friendliness of the guest manager Danier and the wonderful flat. The building is full of history and had been beautifully converted. Our apartment was spacious and beautifully furnished with antiques. The apartment is ideally located for exploring Valetta and the rest of the island: it is 5 min walk to Republic street, or the Grand Harbour and the bus terminal (and 1 min to the amazing Upper Barraca Gardens) .
