Very good sized room with a walk in shower. Large double beds which are comfortable. Small fridge for personal use, also a quirky safe that was easy to use after you are shown how , the instructions are poor.

The hotel is centrally located at the crest of a gentle hill but is very well placed to get access to the ferries, buses etc.

Staff are very good indeed and the restaurant staff are very friendly and polite.

The roof terrace is pretty good and has nice views.

Breakfast is pretty good and you can have ommlettes and eggs freshly prepared. We had half board and the meals follow a weekly cycle so by the 3rd week the evening meals were getting a bit boring.

I would recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Quiet room overlooking rear of hotel.

Twelve nights this visit and The Victoria was as good as ever - pity the weather was not.

Again the hotel was almost, if not at full capacity 260ish - which in itself is good for the hotel but can be problematical for staff and guests at breakfast when a large number of guests turn up around the same time to a restaurant that has a seating capacity for about 100. Breakfast is served from 7.00am to 10.00am.

We have never seen the restaurant staff under so much pressure to get the waiting guests seated as soon as possible. As usual when this situation arises the tables in the adjoining Penny Black bar are brought into use. On return to the hotel later that day we noticed that the tables and chairs in the Penny Black had been changed to accommodate more people and breakfast time was extended to 10.30am, a great solution to temporary problem. We must say the restaurant staff (some of which are new to us since Visit 42) and restaurant manager deserve a great deal of praise for the way they worked together on that particular morning.

Everything else was a good as ever - the food and the staff, also new carpets have been fitted on the 6th and 7th floors the two areas were the Manager has been trying to have them fitted for a while but unfortunately guest numbers have made isolation of these areas difficult.

If you are looking for a hotel were all the staff from housekeeping, maintenance, reception, bar, restaurant and management try to ensure that each and every guest has a stay they will enjoy then The Victoria Hotel in our opinion is hard to beat.

The room and bathroom was perfect and clean.Reception staff were helpful and friendly.
We had a room on the 6.floor in 616 with small balcony. The rooftop was beautiful with pool and with gorgeous views.Good buffet breakfast selection and dinner too.

We spent a great week at the Victoria Hotel. Its position at the top of two hills meant we kept very fit, walking out and back from Sliema's attractions.
Our room was pleasant and very clean and comfortable. Lovely toiletries, replaced daily. The only issue was that the towels were a bit on the small side.
The fridge, in which we could store water, was very useful indeed.
We were disturbed by the people in the gym overhead very early on three of the mornings. I would prefer a room on another level next time I come.
The food was excellent at breakfast and at dinner. The salad bar was a welcome addition. The included coffee was very welcome but 4euros for 75cl of water was extortionate. The water tank was put out for breakfast. The wine was better value and, in fact, the cheapest wine was really delicious. We loved the La Vallette red wine, preferring it to the more expensive Caravaggio!
The waiters and waitresses were very efficient, attentive and friendly.
The bar had a lovely ambience. We enjoyed the Happy Hour cocktails. Bana and Alfred were really great barmen and treated us very well indeed. The included nibbles were very welcome too.
The reception staff were very helpful, especially Alexandra. She answered a lot of questions to help us and was very efficient. Unfortunately, Dimitri really upset me by telling me to "book the taxi yourself", after the rep. Ani had said that reception should book my return taxi for me. Charles, the Manager, reassured me that this behaviour was not typical and that Dimitri had left a message to sort out my taxi when he went on holiday! An apology and a follow up call should have been made. He clearly knew he had been in the wrong. Martin, the other manager, was also very helpful and friendly during our stay. It was clearly a policy of this hotel, to put guests at their ease.
We will return. Thank you.

Room Tip: Don't choose sixth floor if you don't want to be woken by the gym overhead!

We stayed in the Classic room, it was a lovely room, tea and coffee facilities always replenished, along with the shower and shampoo gel. A free safe was also available. Breakfasts offered a good choice in the lovely Copperfields Restaurant, we also had the buffet meal on the Italian and Sicilian evening, great value at 21 euro. We also had an enjoyable meal in the Penny Black Bar. Towels are available for the swimming pool, there are spa and leisure facilities, we didn't get chance to use them unfortunately. Location was great 10 mins walk to the ferry to Valetta (2.80 euro return) and bus stop (1.50 single journey). We had a lovely time in a beautiful hotel, with very friendly staff.

Room Tip: Get down for breakfast no later than 8am as it can get busy.
