We stayed in this hotel from October 31 to November 1 and again from November 6th to November 9th.
This hotel is far away from the Keflavik International airport ( about 50 Kms distance). So I am not sure, what is at the outskirts, the airport or the hotel?
There are many varieties of Standard rooms. Though everyone pays the same price for a Standard Rooms but you got to be very lucky to get a good room. Same Standard room could be 100 Sq ft or 150 or 200 sq ft depending on your luck ( Excluding the bathroom area). The bathroom could be 25 sq ft to 100 sq ft depending on your luck.

Breakfast is good enough. However the bar section is right at the reception. This gives the feeling that it is more like a boutique hotel. very compact.

Front office has a mix of staff. Most of them are very sweet and helpful. Very polite and courteous. However their manager is different.

If someone is looking for a budget hotel then this hotel is Ok otherwise there are many other luxury hotels close by as well.

Room Tip: Choose rooms 224, 324 or 424. Dont take room : 225,325 or 425

The pictures are very deceiving! The rooms look nothing like the pictures. The money and value is definitely worth it but could use some updating and better amentities. I travel a lot and this was a great location therefore the choice. The staff is pretty helpful but depends on who you are working with. Ample breakfast

The hotel looks quite clean and tidy, somewhat old furnitures and carpets. Too much paperwork at check-in. Quite high temperature in the rooms, too high to sleep in. Average size rooms. The breakfast is at best average. The scrambled eggs are powdered based and unappetising. The boiled eggs are not boiled recently. Only a 5 minute walk to main street and reasonable rates improve the rating.

The staff were all very helpful, very close to all the attractions, the church about 5 minutes one direction and the main street of shops 10 mins. Breakfast was wonderful, it really set you up for the day. The rooms could do with a a decorate, but it was clean and room service was very good, beds made up everyday and restocked toiletries and tea/coffee bits. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Underfloor heating, tea making facilities, safe, hairdryer. Downside was the ventilation in the bathroom, as the hot water smells.

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Reykjavik's famous church and 10 minutes away from its main shopping thoroughfare where local food establishments abound.

The room we had overlooked a neighboring apartment building while providing a view of snow capped mountains in the distance.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Our room was at the end of a corridor so we were away from the usual noise of a busy corridor.

Unfortunately, the walls lack soundproofing, as we could clearly hear doors open and close. In addition we would occasionally hear conversations in neighboring rooms.

The bathroom had a Jacuzzi style tub, which could be filled with naturally heated water which we were warned could reach 175 degrees F.

We had a car. Parking was a minor hassle, as we had to ask to be let in and out of agated parking lot. Otherwise we could park on the street which had few open spots.
