Tasty noodles and very reasonable in price. Not a huge amount of choice for vegans, but the option was tasty nevertheless!

Lovely restaurant and nice setting.
Food and drinks are good, service also good came twice so must be ok.
Plenty of choice to choose from on the menu and all within budget for Iceland at least.

In a city where everything is pretty expensive, and much of the food is not to my liking, Nudluskalin is the only place we ate at more than once on our visit. The people were fairly friendly, and the food was warm and reasonably priced (if $40 for two bowls of noodles is reasonable in your eyes). One dish we got was weird and bland- the Noodles in Fen or something. And putting cold sliced red pepper in a hot dish is bizarre to me. But the others dishes, including the coconut dishes, were tasty. Next time we're in Reykjavik, we will probably be back.

Tried the domm yamm under the vegetable category menu which consisted of rice noodle and chicken in a rich, flavorful vegetable broth with crushed peanuts, leeks, cilantro and a slice of lime. You can chose the level of spiciness and I chose hot. The broth was zesty and spicy and taste abit like tom yum soup to me, which I quite enjoyed especially on a cold wet day. Water is free and self service. Lots of sauces for u to add onto ur soup, such as tamarind sauce, chilli sauce, seasame oil etc...at a side counter but it dun seem necessary as my broth was flavorful enough. When we ordered our food, they asked for our name so that when it’s ready, they will shout out the name. Same system as ordering at Starbucks. Not many ppl around when we went around 6pm on a weekday. Food was nice and came fast. Would come again.

Seriously the best noodles/ramen I’ve ever had. We were in Iceland for 4 days and we made it a point to go back to this shop. The food is amazing - and it’s perfect for when you are freezing and really looking for something to warm you up! Would definitely recommend!
