The guy with glasses on reception made me feel VERY awkward about asking simple questions about the hotel, which he really should have been telling me anyway. One question he took particular distaste to was with regard to the safety of my belongings in the shared dormitory room I was staying in (as there were no lockers to keep things in!!) Ironically after he snapped at me for asking this, I proceeded to have both a phone charger and a towel go missing over the duration of my stay..

The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Bizarre smells seemed to linger in the hostel area of the hotel, and noise curfews were not enforced. if you want a cheap place to rest your head this does the job, but don't expect anything more from this place!

This hotel was adequate for one night after flying in. The hotel was run down and in disrepair.
We would have skipped Reykjavik had we known how dirty it was. Lots of graffiti and dirty streets, It was a tourist trap!
In retrospect we arrived early in the morning we should have gotten on the road to a more quaint town. This was a wasted day. The most enjoyable part was visiting the botanical gardens.

We had paid extra for a room with private bathroom. The room was consumed by mold which the hotel was obviously aware of as it had an open fan in the shower wall going directly to the outside...it runs 24/7/365. The mold made us feel ill during our stay and for days afterward. This room is a major health hazard and should be closed. The entire facility is old, run down and depressing. This was the only lousy place we encountered over 9 nights. It is NOT close to the city center and sits on a busy, noisy freeway.

Room Tip: Do yourself and favor and do NOT stay here.

shown on the internet/on your website. Although the staff were nice, my first impressions where awful. There was a horrible smell around the place, and this was before we even got in the room.

The room was small, dirty and smelled horrendous, nothing like the photos yet again. The room was actually that bad it brought me to tears. I really didn't want to stay there at all...

We went into the bathroom, and yet again, it smelled horrible, the shower smelt like rotten eggs, therefore I refused to shower there."

The small of the water has explanation.

It is indeed different then the rest or the world.
Some people might find it smelly but it actually very pure.

Best regards,
