This hotel gets all the major factors right (quality and range of breakfast, temperature of room, efficiency of shower, location, amount of storage for clothes, value of the available 10 Euro buffet lunch) but it seemed to me a classic example of where it would be advisable for a manager to spend a couple of nights in one of the rooms to assess how the facilities work in practice.
For example the bedside lamp was very stylish but was too dim to comfortably read by. Also I think this is the first hotel I've ever stayed in where there has not been a switch near the bed to operate the main room lights. The hand towel was extremely small and barely adequate after hair-washing. I appreciated having tea and coffee facilities but was disappointed, for a three night stay, that the original supplies were not replenished at all. ( Obviously not a major problem; if I had not been able to supplement them from a trolley in the corridor I don't doubt that a receptionist would have assisted but it was a little irritating). Although the wardrobe had a commendable number of shelves (as well as adequate hanging space) there was only minimal shelf space in the bathroom. Also I suspect that any business traveller in need of desk space would have found the one shelf in the bedroom (which was along the foot of the bed and already housed the television and tea tray) less than adequate. Finally the curtains of the room were unusual in that the main curtain (which, due to the size and layout of the room could only be drawn by climbing over the bed) was on the window side of the net rather than, as is usual, vice versa. This meant that at night time it was not immediately obvious if the main curtain ( which was only just the same width as the window) was fully closed as it was obscured by the net. Not ideal, particularly as the room was overlooked by an apartment block.
