I visited the Snow Viilage with Kati and with two families with children. We were 10 people all together, 6 adults and 4 children.

We were all truly exited about what we saw and experienced.

The SnowVillage was like a big cave made out of snow, a hotel with rooms carved into the snow connected by passages carved as well into the snow. Full with sculptures made out ice, a lion, a wulf, and other animals. Hotel rooms with walla and roof out of snow and a double bed on ice.

And in the middle of the SnowVillage a bar where we had drinks and we were serve by a bartender home from Chile. What a wonderfull experience.

We have been coming to Lapland for a number of years and have repeatedly heard of this place. It was well worth the wait. A beautiful place with stunning sculptures. We started with a guided tour with details provided of how this village is built every year. It was really interesting and nobody was bored. There is also a short film you can watch which is fascinating. Each year the village has a theme in one of the rooms and this year it was Game of Thrones. Although I have never seen this programme, everybody was enthralled. I would strongly recommend a visit to this place - it is well worth it.

We visited the snow village and had dinner there and this was a unique experience. The visit can be done in about one and a half hour and is a stunning visual experience. The rooms of the hotel can be visited too. We had a great time !

We have dreamt of this trip for ages and after finding out that this year’s theme is GOT we just had to go. Every single minute spent there was amazing. We stayed in a ice suite and enjoyed a dinner in ice restaurant ( when you do something like that you have to do it properly). Our stay started with a guided tour of the hotel then we had time to walk around the area and grab a drink. Sleeping in a room of -5C is something surreal and for someone like me who loves tropical temperatures it was unimaginable at first but I can assure you all: it’s fine! Dinner was delicious and breakfast in the morning was very good as well. I would recommend this place to everyone. It’s a very unique experience.

A long drive from Rovaniemi on the road between Kittilä and Kolari left side we found the snow village. This is a snow hotel carved out of snow from this year and ice from a year ago. The theme was game if thrones although we also noticed the ring. Very nicely made and much larger than the one in Kemi. But really icy cold inside even while it was -1C outside. Allows for a drink at the ice bar, children using the ice slide, and all eating afterwards in the cosy and heated restaurant of the Lapland hotel. Entrance fee 15EUR, OK for Finnish norms.
