I would never have expected such a place in such a small village. A local winemaker-cum-restauranteer has this incredibly cool establishment. The bar on the middle level is spacious and offers what sound like great tapas, in a really nice, clean modern vibe. The restaurant at the top is lovely, we had dinner there overlooking the castle. The food was all scrumptious and made there, and used prime quality fresh, natural ingredients. The type of food is sophisticated cookery, modern, up-to-date, decent portions. It's the perfect balance, it lies somewhere between the traditional meson/taberna fare you find all over the place (you'll find lots of great locally farmed products) but prepared in recipes that require skill and taste. The waiter was knowledgeableand professional, he helped guide us through foods and the right wines (made by the owner) to pair with it.
I'd love to go back and try many more things on the menu, and to take part in a wine tasting in the bodega down below.
