Great paintings but crowded. Do not come at 11 when they open as it is a long line. Crowded inside.
The location is fabolous, right by the river.
Some of the paintings are great catching the Swedish light and atmosphere.

I have always been especially impressed by artists who master the art of water colours and expected to see some excellent work by our wellknown artist Lars Lerin. In the Sandgrund museum, however I found much more than I expected. Amazing technique and details.
Our visit to Karlstad, planned for two days. had to be extended with another day to allow for two visits to Sandgrund! If You have a chance to visit - don't miss the opportunity.

Many interesting and creative paintings plus drawings, some of which have super light renditions. Certainly a well presented exhibition and worth a visit if you are in that area of Sweden

This museum shows all aspects of Lerin's art. IT is in the center of the town and a must when visiting Karlstad.

Lars Lerins watercolours in big format was a wonderful and impressive experience. Incredible technique. There were several big ones with glass frames, was possible to take photo without flash. Entrance 80 Skr. We even saw Lars himself inside talking to guests. Be aware that it closes at four.
