Stockholm is one of the dirties cities we have been to.
A massive amount of cigarette butts all over the city and paper on the streets. The side streets to e.g. Drottninggatan are filthy.
Young as old throws everything on the streets. This goes for parks, children's playgrounds as well.
It seems to be a "human right" to throw trash and cigarette butts all over and if you comment this you are verbally threatened.
The so called environment party and their alike seem not to care for local order and are according to information spending their time for international issues instead!

There seems to be no one to follow up the catastrophic filthy situation on Stockholm's street and the locals seem not to understand or care!

Clean up the city. Use the media continuously for propaganda how to show consideration to each other.

It is really awful.

Norrmalm in Stockholm is also known as the "city" (or to some people it means new town) contrasting from the Gamla Stan (the old town), which is being divided by a walkway and bridge over a promenade.

The former comprise of many shopping malls and stores, tall, big, modern and new commercial buildings, beside those boutique and independent stores around the area, including an open air fresh flowers and fruits market. And the latter would present a more historical and cultural aspects of Stockholm with centuries year old shophouse buildings, museums and churches. Both areas also have lots of restaurants, cafes, convenience and souvenir shops, makeshift stalls etc.

It's a breeze walking around here and all the lanes and roads are somehow interlinked and people here are generally friendly and helpful. When we were there after our city hall tour, it was closed to lunch time and the place (especially the F&B outlets) were packed with people. So you may have to wait for a seat but if you are short of time, having some finger food while doing your window shopping is recommended.

There were also street performers here and you could enjoy some really live singing while you roam or shop around!

We had about a good 3-hr break here and bought quite a number of souvenir items here before leaving Stockholm in the afternoon heading to Karlstad!

Recommended for a visit, especially the shopaholics!

A trendy neighborhood full of shops and restaurants. Very lively at night. We went to Norrmalm to try a restaurant (Riche) that was recommended by a waitress at another place. But unfortunately since it was a very busy night and we didn't have a reservation, we could get in until like 2 hours afterward. All others restaurants were also very packed. After wandering the street to find restaurant for a while, we were lucky to get a seat at the bar at Sturehof. So, my recommendation if you are planning to have a dinner in this neighborhood is to make your reservation ahead.

It is a shipping, shopping and hotel area. It is steps way from the central station and the city hall. Here we boarded on the Prins Carl Philip ship to Drottningholm on a nice 1hr (or so) sailing through some of the Stockholm waterways. It is worth walking along the promenade and enjoying your fika!

The best shopping area in town. It's classy, big alleys and a lot of beautiful store. The atmosphere is really good as well. Trendy.
