Stayed here for 3 nights recently and booked upon tripadvisor recommendations and the fact that the No 1 hotel in Stockholm was within budget but having returned I feel that it is a bit overrated at the No 1 spot. The hotel is in a good location, close to the central terminal so only a few minutes walk off the train or bus from Arlanda. Also the hotel offer free wifi to guests which is a plus.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Ours had a horrible view of a busy highway so if that matters make sure to request a room with a nice city view. A note for the girls the room layout meant that where the plugs were located you could not actually access a mirror to see what you were doing while blow drying your hair, a little inconvenient but maybe not the same setup in all rooms! Room was too hot at night even with air con turned to cool.

The buffet breakfast had lots of choice but it would not be a deciding factor for me in considering whether or not to book the hotel, unless you love a big fry up every morning its not worth it unless already included in the room rate.

I would not rush to recommend this hotel to friends or family, the hotel has a business feel to it and there is no charm about it and while its just beside the central station its not the most attractive part of town, in my opinion. The staff are friendly but I dont think there is anything special about this hotel.

I was really happy this place was within my company's rate limit, and was not disappointed at all. The location is awesome, it's right above the central station so you can take the Atlanta express in from the airport and walk one block to the hotel. Note, to do so, you need to go all the way to the top floor of the station. There are two "street levels" because some streets in Stockholm are elevated, so exit on the upper one. The hotel is just south of the convention center. There is another radisson Blu there, the waterfront is more hidden on a side street.

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and well appointed. I had a late lunch in the lobby bar and it was above expectations.

The location is very close to the heart of Stockholm's old city and for further out adventures the main bus and subway lines run right by there.

Will definitely be back on my next stopover or for a longer stay.

One thing is I ended up with one of those European fake king beds where they push two twins together. I don't know who in the world thinks those are a good excuse for a king bed, and with a split base layer the bed actually rolls apart. I guess you should ask carefully what you're getting, but it'd be better if they would just do queen or king.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu for 2 nights in mid April. As always we opted to stay at this hotel as it featured highly on Tripadvisor and was reasonably priced.
It couldn't be easier to get to the hotel from the airport - 20 minutes Arlanda Express to Central and then a left turn out of the station and the hotel is right there. Gamla Stan (Old Town) is about 15 minutes walk away and the main shopping area is about 5 minutes away.
Due to torrential rain I had room service one evening and was pleased I did, it was 195SEK for a club sandwich so not at all cheap but it was very nice, and very filling.
The staff were exceptional, very helpful and friendly and allowed us a free late check out until 6pm which was brilliant.
The room was lovely, we had a great view of the waterfront and City Hall. Shower was brilliant and bed comfortable. Would have been good if the air con was more powerful (it was a bit warm in the room overnight).
The gym was good and the equipment nearly new. Free wi-fi was easily accessible and very useful.
Overall, this hotel was great, we'd happily recommend it and happily stay there again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 12th floor overlooking the water - it was a great view.

stayed there for 1 night, its right behind the central train station, about 5 mins walk to underground station and around 15mins walk to other major centres e.g:gamla stan
breakfast was very good, rooms: good decoration, comfortable beds.
probably there are cheaper places to stay, but if your are in Stockholm for short time then its worth staying in a central place like this

This Radisson is as central as it can get in Stockholm. Rooms are nice, but not all have a view of the waterfront. The bar has a good selection of drinks and snacks/small dishes, and the food is good. But what really gets an outstanding rating is the breakfast - it's really incredible. There is everything your heart may desire, and of course you can get any variety of omelette/egg dishes. Naturally you can different sorts of typical Scandinavian breakfast alternatives, several different biscuits/muffins, lots of fruit, pancakes, bread and so on. We had breakfast for over an hour and then had to give up.... there was room for no more.. :-)
