I just came back from Copenhagen and stayed in the Double room de luxe from Oct 13 to Oct 18. In general, I like this hotel and if I travel to Copenhagen in the future, I would stay here again.

Let me start with its weaknesses. This hotel shows its age. It does not have ac or central heating system. The water pressure in the bathroom is not great. I do not like the mattress as it's too thin for me. The noise level may be bothersome for people sensitive to noise as you can definitely hear people talking from other room or the traffic outside.

On the other hand, the location of this hotel is convenient. S-train and many buses are just a few minutes walk away and it's close to the city hall and Tivoli Gardens. The staffs I met are all with genuine smiles on their faces, and they made me feel very welcome.

Although I think some upgrades of the room, like a better mattress, would be nice, the room is definitely very clean. It somehow reminds me the old studio I rent when I was in college. However, I certainly did not have these lovely pieces of Danish furniture in the studio^^. Btw, if you opt out for the room cleaning service, you will get 100 DKK voucher which can be used in the Vietnamese restaurant next door. After eating Nordic food for so many days, it's so good to have some Vietnamese food.

Room Tip: ask for the rooms facing the courtyard.

Dear cching2016,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write and share your extensive and excellent review.

We are happy to hear that you would stay with us again and we have of course taken note of all your great input in regards to some of the things in the room, that did not quite live up to your expectations, so that we may consider them for any future renovations/improvements.

We would also like to thank you for your kind words about our staff and our environmental policy, where you can opt out of having your room cleaned and get something in return from us for use in the adjoining restaurant.

Thank you once again and we do hope to be able to welcome you back here with us at the Hotel Alexandra in the future.

Great location, only a 10 minute walk from Copenhagen Train Station.

From the lobby area to the corridors and bedrooms there are nods to Danish design making it a very quirky and fun place to stay.

Each room is individually styled. In our room, storage was limited but perfectly fine if you are only staying for a few nights.

Friendly and helpful staff and the offer of a complimentary glass of wine when you return at night to enjoy in the lobby area.

Central location, outstanding staff, reasonable prices. I don't have any complaints about this hotel. It was like a small attraction in itself, dedicated to 1950s/60s Danish furniture design, and everything from the lobby to the layout was cozy.

Excellent choice. The hotel is a 3-star, and within this category, it is far better than I was expecting. The Danish design theme throughout the hotel makes it very interesting, not the usual chain hotel. Price, considering the average cost of hotels in Copenhagen, is reasonable. Our room was clean and welcoming. A big plus, people working there are very nice, especially the young lady in the afternoon, with a lot of passion and care.
So, if you like danish design and vintage, this is the place! We are already looking forward to visiting again.

I was there month ago , the staff was excellent and friendly , everything in the room was 110 % clean and brand new . About the location - it's 100 m from Stroget and 300 m from the Central railroad station. Money / Quality 10/10 . Highly recommend.
