We went for the evening whilst on holiday in hundested about 80 minutes away,
There are 5 pools, circular pool, square lane pool, children's pool, hot water pool, diving pool and jacuzzi.

There was also a climing wall above the diving pool but it was broken, the diving pool has a trampoline to jump off and various height diving platforms and a spring board.

The whole building was showing signs of ware, rust in places ,

My daughter loved the trampoline diving and for that reason we would go again, if its just swimming you want go some where more local to your accommodation,

We absolutely love the swimmingpool at DGI-byen. My kid is in paradise. Jumping around in the different pools greatly separated so that all age groups can have fun. Warm pools for little ones, jacuzzi, and lots of space. Having so much fun and paying and premium fee for going to the pool is absolutely okay, the major problem is that the changing facilities with showers and sauna is somewhat outdated... A majority of the showers have no hot water - not even warm... the sauna is tiny, and the hairdryer is something from the 80'ies - at least...
The experience would get full 5 stars - if the bathing facilities would live up to standards of today, and we would enjoy the pool even more...
Finally, the cafe outside the pool - inside the DGI-Byen has a selection of healthy juices and snacks... the only downside is that tables are always dirty and the floors full of leftovers...

I visited the pool with my 14 year old son. There are instructions in English but its worth noting in advance that etiquette here is very different from UK pools. It is pretty much mandatory to have a full shower and shampoo before swimming this means getting naked in the communal (single sex) shower area before putting your costume on.
The pool itself is downstairs from the changing room. The main pool is divided into two sections, one circular track around the outside of a conventional rectangular pool. Then there is a warmer area aimed at beginner swimmers and there is a completely separate adventure area with diving boards, trampolines and a climbing wall which my son loved.
The pool is spotlessly clean and airy and was a welcome respite on a drizzly day. You can hire towels and even a costume to wear from the front desk.

Part of a larger sports complex, it has several pools including a circular one, so no boring laps and no crashing into other swimmers! Modern, very well organised and clean.
Sauna too.

I chose this hotel as it was easy to find if arriving by train. however in the end it meant hearing the train noise all day and night long. the room was ok for the two of us, rather spacious, as well as the bathroom (though all appliances were very old). unfortunately there must be some problem with the sewage as the smell from the bathroom was terrible. maybe that is why we found the window wide open when we arrived and after the cleaning:( the room was quite cold but we turned on the radiator. beware that the breakfast is in another building, so if it is raining take your coat with you:) the staff was very helpful and nice, the breakfast filling. as a guest you can use the pools for free, just get a ticket from the reception. big pools which are public so quite busy on weekends. there was a tiny sauna in the ladies' locker room, and there is a bigger one next to the pools but for some time periods you need to pay extra for it (the sign in danish only so i did not get it:)))). the big pool is ideal for laps, clean. as on day one we used the towels for the pool we did not go the next day as until 1pm the room was still not cleaned. maybe you have to put the sign for cleaning when you leave..no idea:) comfy mattress, good internet. all in all, enough for the weekend! just solve the bathroom smell please:)

Thank Manane
