200 metres from central station so super convenient if taking the S train to the airport or traveling further afield from Copenhagen. Speedy friendly & efficient check in. Room is compact but has everything you need. Wifi is solid and reliable. Small working desk. Comfy bed with twin duvets very Danish. You can hear the hours chiming quite clearly from a nearby clock tower up to midnight. Bathroom small but functional and practical-shower only. Room and general hotel very clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast for 90k in either courtyard or restaurant area. Really good value with smorgasbord of cold meats, cereals, pastries, juice, coffee, yoghurts, fruit, bacon, eggs and more. All you can manage...have a luggage room where you can leave bags if checking out early. Close to up and coming meat packing area with heaps of trendy bars and restaurants only a five minute walk away. Some road construction around the area at the moment so look out for that if you are driving here. Definitely recommend for a reasonably priced good location in Copenhagen.

Rooms were so so small especially as there were two of us travelling. Not room to swing the proverbial cat! Stayed during the hot spell in July and room was boiling. Made comment to reception and they arranged for a fan immediately which helped enormously.

Good free WiFi and excellent breakfast. Little courtyard area for sitting out in which was also lovely. Good location and would certainly return in in town again.

The positive aspects of the hotel are the central location and the breakfast options which are broad and flavoursome. However the accessibility to rooms is extremely poorly thought out and does not take account of the basic principle that people travel with luggage and therefore need easy access to lifts and rooms. It is impossible to access a room without having to use a series of stairs either up or down as the lift stops in between floors which is utterly ridiculous. There is no one on hand to help either so the hotel management need to seriously reconsider this issue. Then to the rooms. My room was inconceivably small, very basic and very stuffy. No bed side tables although a small dressing table. With my case open I had to climb over my bed to get to the other side of the room as there was no space to pass and there was a dangerously positioned door stop almost in the middle of the room for no apparent reason. The bed cover was badly stained on the inside which is unacceptable. The bathroom was ok although because it was also a walk in shower too so the whole bathroom floor got wet when the shower was used. The bed mattress was on it’s last legs offering virtually no support whatsoever. I could also hear conversations next door. Overall this was not an experience I would want to repeat if I returned to Copenhagen.

great little hotel centrally located, 2 minutes walk from train station and less than 10 minutes from the city centre. good local bars and plenty of choice of good places to eat. Hotel rooms are incredibly small but very clean, staff very pleasant, breakfast is very reasonable with an excellent choice of freshly prepared food. price is good for such a central location.

Room Tip: say as higher level as possible as street noise from passers by can be noisy in summer months if you have windows open

We were looking for a room - last minute. There were absolutely no rooms in Copenhagen available that night. The Ansgar had 1 room left for $760. YES - a room that is normally around $100. I booked it out of desperation and then immediately tried to cancel it - and was told the cancellation fee was $760. YES. Rude & greedy people. No one to help us with our luggage - which required stairs to get to our room, And finally they denied us coffee in the am. (You had to buy the entire breakfast for $25).
