I was given a single room on the very top floor which was small, dark and hot. There was no aircon and a massive extractor fan directly outside the window meaning there was a terrible noise all night long making sleep near impossible.

In addition, and perhaps more worryingly, there was no smoke alarm in the room. I repeatedly asked for one from reception to no avail and was told i'd be fine because the corridor alarm would wake me.

In the end i had to upgrade at my own expense. Their twin rooms are lovely, it's just a shame they can't look after their single travelers.

Room Tip: make sure you get a fire alarm

Once in the hotel, you are far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy street out front. The reception area was cozy, staff was helpful, and breakfast was large and filling, The room was very small but also very quiet. Great value. Located behind four lakes and near "Little Paris" neighborhood. Don't miss eating at the Granola cafe. Home made buratta and delicious roasted tomato salad.

The most positive things I can say about the hotel is that it’s location is only a short walk (about 10 minutes) from the center of town (the main train station and Tivoli Gardens) and the cold breakfast is fairly decent with a good selection.
I ended up staying in two different rooms while I was there for three day. Both rooms were small and neither had a dresser to put your clothes in. Both closets (which is really just a bar to hang your clothes on) were tiny. The first room was # 605. It was located on the top floor. Because of the “pitch” of the roof, the ceiling impinged on the room, making about 1/3 of the small room unusable. There was a small window in the room and another small window in the bathroom. That room did have a double bed, although the person on the window side would have problems getting in and out due to the impinging roof (unless they were under 4 feet tall).
The second room # 410 was even smaller (my guess less than 200 square feet) than the first room. It had a single bed which was pushed up against the wall which was next to the bathroom of the adjacent room. The sink, toilet and the shower shared a common area; meaning if you turned on the shower, the floor area around the toilet and sink would be in the water from the shower since everything was on the same level without adequate drainage.
The price for the room, although not expensive, wasn’t worth it.

I had a great stay at the Savoy Copenhagen. My room was very clean tidy and charming, but the walls are thin. You will hear the baby crying two doors down and your next door neighbour's morning alarm.. The hotel has super helpful staff too.

We were in Copenhagen as tourists for a weekend and checked into the Savoy for three nights.
This hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the Central Station which has direct connections to the airport and also the Royal Arena which is a bit like the O2 venue in London.
I have to say that this hotel would have gained four stars from me if it had larger rooms. Everything about it was first class bearing in mind that this is an inner city mainstream hotel. Friendly staff could not have been more helpful or cooperative in every department. Breakfasts were good (Continental style of course for there are no cooked breakfasts here). Everything was well kept and really clean. There was a happy and friendly atmosphere about the place but oh dear the rooms are so small. There is some hanging space but no draws and virtually no shelves for clothes. You will more or less live out of your suitcase. Of course small rooms also mean small beds. Very small beds. Shower room area is cut down to a minimum too with the tiniest wash basin. Frankly its difficult for a larger person. Also the bathroom does have a good size shelf sited between the wash basin and mirror but this means that shaving is difficult because its impossible to get close enough to the mirror for a close shave. All it needs is a shaving mirror to solve the problem.
All in all it's ok but know what you are getting before you book.
