I would definitely stay here again. It's next to central station, so you do hear the trains, which start around 5:30 am. But it's across from Tivoli Gardens and just a couple blocks walk to Stroget. Clean, updated bathroom and comfortable beds (I think it's the room's wallpaper that makes the room look more dated than it actually it). Has maintained a charming vintage look with brass railings, carpeting, and a vintage elevator. Breakfast, hot (pancakes, eggs, bacon) and cold (breads, cheeses, coldcuts, yogurts etc), was good and plentiful.

You can't get any closer to the train station or Tivoli Gardens than the Plaza. Someone did a nice job of restoring most of the rooms and public spaces in the last twenty years, but the day to day management is a bit haphazard. A charming antique glass elevator creaks up to the upper floors from a small lobby. Interior single rooms are a bit tight but acceptable and relatively quiet in a noisy area of town. There was no apparent attempt to service the bathroom or bedroom on the second day and a surprise 3% surcharge was added to the bill on checkout if you used a credit charge issued by a non-Danish bank. The included breakfast in the dinning room, which over looks the train station, and a grilled fish dinner were actually quite good.

To say this is a four star hotel is deception at its best!

The hotel is run down and dirty! The room smells awful and holds no comfort! You can't even have a shower in comfort as it leaks and the towels must be as old as the building itself! The curtains and chairs are stained with god knows what! The beds are hard and the decor needs some serious tlc!

I am totally disgusted! I normally would not write a review but I would hate to think someone would come for a birthday away and have the same experience as myself and my partner did!

I hope the Copenhagen plaza reads the review and takes some action to restore this beautiful building back to the level deserving 2* let alone 4*
That itself would be a delight in comparison!

But Copenhagen itself is a wonderful city so long as you avoid a stay at the plaza!

This is an older style hotel directly opposite Central Station, so handy to the airport and close to the Strogan area, walking street and the Hop on Hop Off bus stop- clean and very comfortable- highly recommend for position- we didnt eat here, breakfast is too expensive- Copenhagen is quite an expensive City so our 3 days has been enough for us! Its very easy to get around and a visit to the Tivoli theme park is a must and that is just across the road.
