“Good quality 3 star hotel”
Reviewed 26 June 2012

The hotel staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
We were asked where we wanted our room; we asked for a quiet room not near an elevator, which we got. The room size was adequate and although we thought some space was lost by a desk which went the full length of the window, the furnishings and beds were good.
The breakfast was very comprehensive and of good quality. Something to suit everyone. The dining room staff were pleasant and helpful. So although it wasn’t a 5 star breakfast, it is a 3 star hotel and the standard was definitely good. A mixture of European and Danish foods, from 10 types of cereals, eggs, boiled and scrambled, cheeses, various breads, croissants, Danish pastries, fresh fruit, pates, etc
The location of the hotel was near Central station (one metro stop) and near many bus stops, so a great location for getting around Copenhagen.
Would I stay there again? Most definitely.

Staff were helpful and the room itself was a good size and clean. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Tivoli and there are planty of coffee shops and 7/11 shops nearby. Standard chain hotel although expensive (however this was the case with many of the hotels the week I was there - perhaps a conference on in town?)

The downside is that it is on a busy road and near to the railway line. Therefore if your room faces on to this, it is very noisy. Impossible to have the window open as it is too noisy. Also when I was there, there were renovations going on near the hotel therefore early morning and late at night, there was some noise.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that doesn't face on to the main road and railway

I would give this hotel 4 1/2 stars if tripadvisor would let me. It worked well for us except for the noise from the trains across the street, and the lack of a bathtub in our room.

Location: Good. Very close to the Vesterport metro. Easy to get there from the station. Close to the very hot Vesterport area. The street itself is not very pretty, and the building across the street is five kinds of ugly pink and orange. But you're close to lots of stuff.

Noise: Some rooms face the street and the train tracks, and some face an inner courtyard. We had an outer room on the fifth floor and on the first night we left the window open. I slept terribly. The trains squeal loudly and intermittently all night long. They're literally across the street. The rest of the nights we left our window closed and used the fan provided, and we slept fine. We didn't hear anything from outside or from the adjoining rooms or hallways.

Bed: The bed was one double bed with no crack down the middle. It wasn't huge but was big enough for us. The mattress was too soft for me though, and the pillows too poofy.

The room: The room was surprisingly large for Europe, and had a bit of room for storage. The room (carpets especially) were slightly worn, but that didn't bother us at all. Everything seemed clean and well cared for.

Bathroom: Some rooms have very narrow bathtubs with showers inside, but we had a shower only. The water pressure and heat were both great. And unlike many hotels the shower didn't get the whole bathroom wet.

Internet: The room rate came with free wifi, which worked great in the room. It wasn't super fast but it always worked and never made us login, which was appreciated. On the last day I tried to use my laptop in the lobby but the wifi wasn't working there.

Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was extremely varied, but with the not-too-high-quality foods you'd expect of a mid-level hotel breakfast.

Room Tip: If you want to leave the windows open at night then ask for a room facing the inner courtyard not th...

Well, you dont expect too much from a Best Western. But the location is very good and prices decent in realy expensive Copenhagen. Wish they would do something about their plumbing ( stink in the bathroom coming somewhere deep in the plumbing- changed rooms, but this stayed). Again, good for a no frills stay if its close to your destination in CPH. Tip- if you need an iron, ask for it the day before as there is no way you will get one in the morning !

I stayed here 5 nights and was very satisfied. Enough space, a nice bed, quiet room (at the backside of the hotel), good breakfast, good service. There were some problems in my bathroom, but after mentioning it to reception, they fixed it within a day. Close to station, restaurant area and cinemas.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back of the hotel
