“Good hotel, valued of money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2012

We stayed at First Hotel 27 for 4 nights in late March. We are pleased with almost everything about the hotel. It locates in an excellent location, just 10-min walk from the Central Train station. The interiors is modern, simple and minimal. The room is small but acceptable. Staff at the reception are cheerful, efficient and helpful. A variety of food, hot and cold, is served at breakfast. The staff serving breakfast (it looks like there are 3 members working on shift) are nice and sincere. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and the food was good. The restaurant serves half portion main course and this suits perfectly for people who would prefer a light meal in the evening like me.

The only aspect that has to be improved is housekeeping. It seems that the housekeeping staff are absent-minded. The second day they took away all the towels in our bathroom but did not replace with any clean ones. The third day a staff key card was left in the power switch of our room.

On a whole we enjoyed our stay at First Hotel 27. It is valued for money.

We had a great three night stay at First Hotel Twenty-seven. It was packed with travelers from around the world. Despite being at full capacity (it has been discovered!) the hotel staff was friendly, helpful and warm. They have MAC computers located in the lobby which made checking email a breeze. They even have a printer in case you forget to print out a boarding pass. The breakfast was great! It had something for everyone. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel. The location is excellent for exploring Copenhagen. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there on our next visit.

Nice hotel, very trendy interior, some quirky prints, great for young people. Bedrooms are like an IKEA room set, however, beds are really comfortable. No air-conditioning, so could be warm in the Summer. Restaurant service was not great, we were also served warm white wine, the waiters could not understand the problem, this was a bit odd as the restaurant is called "the wine bar". Breakfast on Sunday was very crowded, the dining room is not big enough to cater for a large umber of people. We were offered seating in the lounge, this meant eating off our knees, not very relaxed and disappointing given the cost. Otherwise, nice hotel, great location for Tivoli and shopping, also very comfortable and very clean, but probably best appreciated by young folk.

Room Tip: Take an upgrade if you can afford it, standard double rooms are small.

I spent 2 nights at the Hotel 27 this week. It's in a nice, central location - close to the train station and a good base for some exploration.

The staff were without exception very friendly and helpful, and the main areas (lobby, restaurant, bar) are very stylish. The rooms are quite small as has been mentioned by other reviewers, and it's clear that less effort has been spent on the refurbishment of the upper floors than downstairs. Our room was quite modern but was starting to look a little tired and could probably do with a lick of paint. We also had a double bed with two single duvets which was a bit odd. However all that you need is there and it's quite a nice place to be. The room was very quiet at night, except for the radiator which made an irritating water rushing noise all night - even turned off.

We only ate breakfast in the hotel but it was very good, although for some reason everything seemed to be in unintuitive places - I ended up walking around in circles looking for things like a coffee cup! It's hardly important and I wondered if it was just me, but it was quite funny to watch other guests doing the same thing!

The hotel's bar is lovely and serves fantastic cocktails. It's not cheap, but it's a hotel bar in Copenhagen - what do you expect?

Next door is the Ice Bar which is worth a visit just for the novelty, although it is an expensive and fairly cheesy experience. If you removed the ice you wouldn't think twice about it!

In summary I enjoyed our stay and would return to Hotel Twentyseven.

Room Tip: The bigger the better - standard rooms are pretty small.

I stayed in this hotel in March 2012. The room I booked was a single. This turned out to be very small - a cupboard with a window. I asked for a bigger room and was offered a double which was better but still not much room to move around. Hotel is very central which was good. Taxi driver didn't know the name as it was previously called the Clarion Collection but found it eventually. Staff all very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a large room
