Focussing on the Dane's minimalist design this hotel chain has sought to provide such an experience in a 'trendy' hotel setting in the heart of the city. But is it really charging a high price tag for an image which frankly isn't born out and left us very disappointed.

Great location for sightseeing; room was designer minimalist but I do expect to be able to get out of both sides of the bed and not be faced with a wall. No aircon and the hotel, which has many rooms, got very muggy and unpleasant. Open the windows allows the fresh sea air in but also the noise from the nearby church (until midnight) and from the hotel's own patio area where you can hear revellers until the small hours take advantage of the good cocktail bar and from the staff and rubbish men at 5am in the morning as they day begins (but sadly yours too). The design of the eating area is poor and cramped (breakfast is like a 'sales' day if you get there after 7.30am) and crockery is chipped - a design feature perhaps? You are also expected to clear your own table - if you can get one which detracts from the good and plentiful food. Watch different nationalities get irritated with one another in the throng - franklyI've had better experiences on the London underground in summer - eat quickly and get outside where it's less noisy, cooler and more fun. The hotel is poorly managed with few staff who do work hard although customer care seemed to be a concept unfamiliar to the receptionist we saw on our arrival who was less than helpful and a mistake was made about our reservation. Don't expect help with your luggage but do be prepared to squeeze into a small lift that needs you to fumble for your room key to operate it. And when you leave expect others to leave their luggae in front of the opening while reception staff watch on.

One person's ideal is another's hell. Sadly this for me fell into the latter which took the gloss of a welcoming and charming city. I'll be back but not to this hotel

Room Tip: Unless you're young and like to party go somewhere else

There are several superlatives I have for Hotel Twentyseven. First, the front desk staff is outstanding -- warm, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Their performance, even during busy times, could not be improved. Stellar!

Next, our room: we spent three nights in a standard double. The furnishings were simple Danish modern. The room was average size but so well designed that it was spacious. The amenities were good, the beds were comfortable. I liked everything about it.

The included breakfast was excellent. Complimentary coffee and tea are available all day. At teatime they put out cake! There is a complimentary light buffet dinner every night.

Finally, the location is great; it's in walking distance of Tivoli and many other sights in Copenhagen. There are some bars on the same street and on weekends it can be pretty noisy at night. But, having mentioned that, Hotel Twentyseven is wonderful.

If you are looking for a TOP Class hotel then this hotel is a MUST. The Staff are amazing right from the reception staff, food and beverage staff and the hotel Manager. The location is superb which is ideal for shopping, Tivoli Park and local transport links. The food is superb, this includes the breakfast buffet, evening buffet and the lovely cheeky cakes at about 3'ish (a wonderful touch) The courtyard has been recently refurbished and is kept to a high standard, very relaxing after a hard days shopping and sightseeing. The rooms are cleaned to a very high specification with clean towels and linen on request. To be honest I could sit here all day and tell you wonderful the hotel is but I am finding it really difficult to find fault. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now and would not even consider anywhere else to spend my holiday. Please see for yourself, and you must meet the staff and hard to think this is only a 4 star........needs re-assessing as its definitely 5 star + in my book A very big 'Thank you' to Dorothe and all the staff xxx Tony & Wayne UK

We stayed here for two nights in July 2011. The hotel is in a great location, very modern, and has a nice bar and outside area.

The negatives were, If you have a room over looking the courtyard it can be extremely noisy, as people can go out there til 2am. You also hear the music from the bar up until this time too. We were moved the following day to a quieter room, so there are other rooms within the hotel that offer a better overall experience.

The rooms aren't big, however no different to other european cities. Also no A/C, so was very hot overnight.

The staff were very helpful throughout our stay.

Room Tip: Any room with x09,x11 in the number seemed to be on the quiet side of the hotel

Friendly, trendy hotel conveniently located with tasty breakfast and dinner buffet.
A good nights sleep is a basic requirement but there were a few issues ...
The rooms have no aircon and it was too hot to sleep with the windows closed. But with them open I was woken several times by a combination of party-goers, the clock tower going off and crack of dawn rubbish trucks.
I am a deep sleeper who was very tired from sightseeing so probably would have been ok if it was possible to keep the windows closed.
If you're visiting Copenhagen any time but summer you should be fine.
The hotel needs to get some kind of aircon
