Very well located between city centre and Norrebro, quiet and with a lovely crew. Easy Check-In, as I booked before on Expedia. Lovely beers on tap with possibilities to sit outside in the summer. Nearby Food-Hall with early opening bakers to take breakfast outside.

This Hotel is in the perfect location away from the busy city center square. It is so close to all major sites, farmer's market and places to eat and have a nice cocktail. The hotel is clean, simply decorated quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet made a great start to our day. The food was healthy, delicious and fresh squeezed juice to homemade James with fresh breads.
If your looking for a Marriott stay at a Marriott. I highly recommend this hotel

We spent 5 nights at the hotel and found it a wonderful base for exploring all of the many things to see in Copenhagen. It is near a metro station which we used all the time. Between the metro station and the hotel is a wonderful food hall with all kinds of foods, cheeses, and carts to select from. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and names of restaurants. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of bread, cheeses, yogurt, etc. Cosy hour was a nice treat at the end of the day. The hotel has a lovely outdoor area for eating, drinking. The room was a nice size with all the amenities needed and sleeping was very comfortable. The hotel was near the river and it was fun to walk along it and go into the neighboring area which had a mix of population. I would return to Ibsens if given the opportunity.

Wauw - thank you! This review makes us truly happy. So incredible to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us at Ibsens Hotel and in Copenhagen. You wanting to come back, is the best recommendation we can get.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed our neighborhood. The next time you are here you should definitely try to visit our closest neighborhood, the Nansensgade area, is really nice. It has seasonal traditions like flea markets and an annual street celebration. It has a local feel, many small eateries and shops.
Our New Nordic breakfast focus on sustainability and we use local and organic ingredients. We appreciate you liked it.

We are looking forward to welcome you again.

We stayed for three nights pre cruise and again 3 nights post cruise in a large room. It was perfect size for the two of us! As has been mentioned already, the staff were wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. Hotel was in an excellent location, very close to Norreport train station (easy to get to from the airport!). It was also very easy to get to the cruise port, just walked down the road to Norreport train station and caught bus number 25. This bus runs each day there is a cruise ship in port, only has one stop before the port, and costs 24 DKK each (need to pay cash if buying ticket from driver). Breakfast was really lovely, cold meats, beautiful cheese, home style jams, chunky seedy breads, yoghurt, home made muesli, boiled eggs and sweet pastries. Coffee is brought around to the tables. Tea is on a separate table, and you spoon a teaspoon of your tea into a little bag to make up your own teabag! There was always fresh water and apples on the reception desk to help yourself to at any time. Cosy hour was nice, and we often enjoyed a glass of wine or beer in this time. We heard the italian restaurant next door was good, but didn't get to try it. However we did enjoy a pizza from across the road (diagonally opposite the entrance) and it was really yum! Plenty of small supermarkets locally. Big food market down the road, but it was quite busy and $$$ so didn't really go there. Easy to walk to all the attractions, just bring your walking shoes! There was a bit of a heat wave while we were there, so it was lovely sunny weather, the rooms were a little warm, but nothing too bad. We suffered a little jet lag, so were going to bed quite early, and not able to leave the window open as it opened onto the central courtyard, and this was quite noisy with noise from the restaurant - fine with the windows closed tho! We loved this hotel and found it to be quite reasonable as we booked early at a good rate. In general we found Copenhagen quite expensive tho. We loved Ibsens and would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Wauw, thank you very much for this wonderful review. It makes us really happy. You wanting to come back is the best recommendation, that we can get.

Pleased to hear that you liked the hotel, the location and the neighborhood. As you mention, almost everything are in walking distance, whether you need to go shopping or sightseeing. If you want to experience the city in another way, you should try our Nimat running Club. Tuesday & thursday at 7 o'clock. Go for a 5 km run, while you see the city wake up and go past different sights in wonderful Copenhagen.

You are right, Copenhagen is a bit expensive in general. But I am pleased to hear that you found a reasonable price for your stay with us.

Hope we will have the chance to welcome you back soon.

We stayed at the Ibsens Hotel in Copenhagen for 2 nights and were really impressed with the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was focused on being helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely, and the location of the property was perfect for us.

They have a "cosy hour" from 5-6 each day where they offer a free glass of wine or beer. Although we arrived shortly after 6 the first day, they made sure to offer that to us. The day we left, they allowed us to store our luggage in their locked storage room and return to "hang out' in their salon until our taxi came to take us to the port.

I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
