This place is small but definitely worth it - day and night. You can have really delicious danish snacks here for lunch and take after one of the boats to make a canal tour or see the little mermaid.
In the evening in summer time it’s nice to sit outside for a beer or glass of wine and enjoy watching the people passing by.

Very touristy, but a must see in my opinion

Nyhavn is certainly attractive and the bars around the canal can be fun, so it is worth a visit, however don’t expect too much. It is as you see really, picturesque houses, sailboats, and canal side bars and cafes. Expect to pay even more here for food and drink because of the location. I’d say have a wander round, enjoy and keep on going.

went to Nyhavn two days straight,at different timings mainly because i was addicted to eating waffles at one of the shops by Nyhavn. The first day,i went at almost 4pm when the sun is still up. Nice views and a lil packed with tourists, but still posible to get a nice photo with not much disturbance. On the second day,i went during sunset and it somehow is more peaceful and nice to stroll down the street. The street is covered by restaurants and cafes alike, mostly pricey but go there for the ambience sake ! nice spot to take photos for sure :)

I suggest to have dinner or lunch somewhere else. The average quality is from medium to sufficent. Ok for a coffe, a beer or an hambuger (well.... may be).

Nice area to visit. Bit like amaterdam but smaller. Good to have a drink but do not eat there in most places. Copenhagen has far better restaurants.
