If you like large open spaces (ie a huge living/dining/sleeping room - we had a studio), with just about everything on display (for example, clothes – as there are no wardrobes as such), excellent cooking facilities, very comfortable bed, hard, bare industrial-style surfaces on ceilings and columns (some with graffiti as artwork), modern furniture, minimal interference from management and great views, then this is the place for you. Privacy is not a principal feature – plenty of glass walls between the bathroom and the main room, and the main room has windows at both ends huge enough to satisfy any voyeuristic or exhibitionist tastes. The location is OK, in a former industrial/port area rapidly re-developing into a high density dormitory inner suburb (with reasonable supermarket and restaurants), but a little way out of town – about 2.5kms to the main station. Public transport is good, however, with very regular double-decker buses to the CBD stopping outside the building; and there is also a ferry which zig zags across the waterway. The location is quiet and overall is quite relaxing. Price for our stay was very reasonable, by contrast with other accommodation closer-in, and represented good value. We liked staying here.
