If you like large open spaces (ie a huge living/dining/sleeping room - we had a studio), with just about everything on display (for example, clothes – as there are no wardrobes as such), excellent cooking facilities, very comfortable bed, hard, bare industrial-style surfaces on ceilings and columns (some with graffiti as artwork), modern furniture, minimal interference from management and great views, then this is the place for you. Privacy is not a principal feature – plenty of glass walls between the bathroom and the main room, and the main room has windows at both ends huge enough to satisfy any voyeuristic or exhibitionist tastes. The location is OK, in a former industrial/port area rapidly re-developing into a high density dormitory inner suburb (with reasonable supermarket and restaurants), but a little way out of town – about 2.5kms to the main station. Public transport is good, however, with very regular double-decker buses to the CBD stopping outside the building; and there is also a ferry which zig zags across the waterway. The location is quiet and overall is quite relaxing. Price for our stay was very reasonable, by contrast with other accommodation closer-in, and represented good value. We liked staying here.

This is the best place to stay in Copenhagen. period. The apartments are huuuge and clean. The staff is super nice and helpful. You can rent bikes at the hotel and very easily bike or stroll into the city centre. Supermarket in the same building as the hotel. The CUTEST bakery also in the same building as the hotel; Yummy --have their Danishes or Croissants for breakfast...

Room Tip: We stayed at the 4th floor in a regular apt. - it had a balcony; YES.

we stayed in Copenhagen for few days. the location is just 10minutes from the city centre by bus or by boat (highly recommended). The apartment was clean and the service good (nice welcome). the only negative was the noisy sliding doors (during all nights) because our flat was at the ground floor.

We booked the loft apartment for 3 nights. We both loved the minimal interior design with plenty of space. We also rented the STAY bikes which included a 3 hour city tour for free. Parking was free as well. Staff was very helpful! Although STAY is not in the center of kobenhavn, it's not that far away and easy accessible by bike.

Would definitly stay here again!

STAY Copenhagen is located on the new "artificial" Island Brygge. It is an apartment hotel of some 180 rooms of varying sizes. We chose what I believe is the smallest - called a loft. Basically a long rectangle with a sitting area, kitchen and dining area and a bedroom. This is a typical apartment-hotel. Some stay for a few days and some live there for months even. There were some hiccups - the dishwasher didnt work and a few other things, the staff were very nice and helpful and in the end they gave us a nice bottle of wine for our "aggravation". There is a hotel breakfast but you can also shop at the upscale Irma at the end of the street (almost entirely organic and pricey) or at the upscale bakery at the other end of the street - emmrys - entirely sourdough, organic and pricey. A double cappuccino at Emmrys will set you back some 40 DKK so almost 8 USD - just twice the price of starbucks :) The area is very posh, and lovely in summer. Cross the harbour and you have Fisketorvet - a mid-class shopping center that was very useful for us - big supermarket, H&M for gifts for the kids, and a pharmacy. We were there in the midst of a Scandinavian heatwave - the apartments have no a/c or fans just FYI and it gets mighty hot! For "traditional" tourists it is however a walk to the city center - some 15 to 20 minutes and about 10 minutes to the nearest train station - Dybblesbro - across the harbour. Nothing to see in the area from a tourists point of view :)

Room Tip: Harbour view is best
