You might not expect to find too many decent restaurants on this street – functional ones perhaps – but be prepared for Shezan to confound your expectations. I went there on a Friday evening soon after arriving in Copehangen, and was pleasantly surprised by the spinach main dish and Peshwari naan I chose for my quick post-flight meal. Lovely, friendly service too.
I went back two evenings later for a more substantial meal, an onion bhaji and a couple of veggie dishes to accompany a pilau rice and all was really, really good. It had obviously been prepared with skill and care, resulting in a flavoursome set of dishes with quick responsive service.
If you're staying in a hotel near to Copenhagen Central, and you want a good meal, you could do a lot, lot worse than popping into the friendly Shezan.
