The grounds are lovely--on the water with a terrace and parkland. The staff were super friendly, and the lobby was nice. But that's where the joy stops. The grand exterior is just a facade to dumpy rooms.

The hotel had three lifts but only one was operational.

Our room was ratty and in dire need of renovation. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The pillows were non-feather (great for allergy sufferers), but worn. There were power outlets under each nightstand, which is helpful in today's electronic age, but on or above the nightstand (even a power hub) would be more convenient. The room did not have a coffeemaker or mini-fridge. The doors in the room, including the main door to the room, were all so thin, not secure feeling.

The bathroom had a shower only, with some mold in the tile grout--housekeeping needs to scrub that better. The bathroom door was worn at the bottom. The shower water pressure was just OK, but the hot water stayed hot. The towels were dreadfully thin. There was a wall-mounted hair dryer.

The free WiFi was intermittent but strong in the moments or worked. Parking was free in their large open-air lot.

This hotel has the possibility to be as nice inside as its grand exterior...if only someone would renovate the rooms and update the decor from the current poor condition.

Nice hotel, but they should finish the rest of the renovation. The room I had was from the 70's with original furniture (new madrass though), the phone was a original Danmark 1' from 1982 - wauw - really cool. But the bathroom would love a fix up.
The breakfast is great, with pancakes, bread rolls - and with a lake view this is a good hotel.
It is cheap - we only paid 67 euro's for one night.
The bar is really small which is funny, but there is a pool table and sauna in the basement if you need more space.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a lake view - they also have a small balcony.

Stayed here for one night. Paid around £150 for the night. Room was a tiny, creaking single bed with an even smaller duvet and a sofa cushion for a pillow. Bathroom was old and needing a refresh.

Breakfast was ok, but not great. Don't try the coffee.

Restaurant staff and bar staff were very rude with poor manners. Restaurant was empty, which still seemed to much for the waiter. He got most of the orders the wrong way around and even argued with people saying they had in fact ordered what he had brought, despite this not being the case. The food was tiny and was trying to be overly fancy, but sadly fell short on quality and quantity. The barmaid was quite aggressive to us several times, despite us only having a quiet beer.

The hotel is near the centrum and the hotel itself is near to shops and restaurants but the hotel itself has its own restaurant that serve delicious foods at a reasonable price. At the back of the hotel have a nice park that is so relaxing just to seat down or have a little walk around it has a fastastic view.

Great location at the water with nice gardens around. The hotel needs an update and the cleaning could me much better! The staff should know better english. Breakfast was okay. Big rooms. All over good for one night.

Room Tip: ask for view over the water
