A really nice hotel, with high service and top notch cleaning. We lived in small, two floor apartment, with a small kitchen (two hotplates), fridge (with small freezing compartment), bathrooms on both floors (one shower) and a balcony. They cleaned our room everyday (even doing the dishes!). Had all practical necessities we needed.

The hotel was very tidy and well managed. A bigger, quite deep pool and small children's pool. Very nice and helpful personal. Close to the beach, but not the best possibilities when you have a trolley. For us it wasn't a big problem since our son is big enough to walk, but if you have a little one you might have to take the longer way to the beach (and be prepared to carry the trolley when going into town, a lot of steps! Recommended to bring a baby carrier).

The only thing that leaves something to wish for, is the food. The breakfast is good (a bit sweet, but hey, you're on vacation) but eating lunch or dinner here leaves you with quite few choices, all quite boring. So be prepared to walk a bit if you want to eat really good food.

The owners also have a restaurant close to town, Sakis. It is one of the nicest places and the greek starters are sooooo good! Highly recommend it.

We've just returned from a very relaxing week at Byzantio. The previous reviews have said it all:
Spotlessly clean accommodation with basic self-catering facilities (we ate out every evening - there are so many fabulous tavernas to choose from it would be a shame not to!). We had a comfortable double bed (5ft wide) and, unusual for Greece, a fully tiled bathroom with a proper shower cubicle. The grounds are beautifully kept and the pool and bar area spotless. It is a short walk down a track to Valtos beach (200 metres approx).
Parga can be reached by water taxi from Valtos (€2) or a VERY steep but enjoyable walk over the headland. It is a busy, unspoilt town with a great choice of tavernas, bars and shops and there are water taxis to other beaches and boat trips to nearby islands. We rarely revisit places but would definitely return here for a chill out week.

Have just returned from a fabulous week in Parga. Fabulous accommodation, beautiful pool bar area and surrounding gardens, all very well take care of. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Ideal for families. The owners and staff were all very friendly and would go out of their way to help nothing was to much trouble. House keeping was excellent, Linen and towels were changed daily. Our apartment was two bedrooms one double one twin, with a small kitchen area (fridge, sink, kettle) bathroom was spacious and clean. The bar open from 8am til 11pm (with free wifi) also did lunchtime snacks toasties, omelettes, bagghet salads etc all very nice.
I would highly recommend staying here, the resort itself is beautiful sceanary, great for walks, or just relaxing on the beach. Kids loved the pedalos - reasonably priced.
Would definitely go back!
Stakis restaurant also owned by family who run Byzantio is also worth a visit for your evening meal.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 7 ground floor 2bedrooms, had our breakfast on front terrace in the morning sun.

Have just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday with friends to this most beautiful town, and impossible to fault it.
Our friends have visited about 7 times and have spent the last three at the Byzantio....we were slightly sceptical of their highly favourable comments....no place could be that good......but it really is.
The accommodation is maintained to the highest standards, the rooms are not huge but have everything you need and are spotless. The grounds are beautiful and the surrounding area/views are stunning.....but what really make this place extra special is the lovely hard working family that run it, along with their equally hard working staff. Nothing is too much for them, and the make you feel so welcome with their generosity. They have also recently refurbished the bar/restaurant area to a very high standard and can highly recommend their breakfasts with home made extras, and a wonderful tzaziki.

It's a very short walk (2/3 minutes) to the beautiful Valtos beach. The sea was cold this time of year, but even by the end of the week it was warming up. It's very calm so great to swim out in.

To make up for all the over indulging....we made the effort to walk from the hotel along the beach and over the hill up towards Parga castle and into Parga itself....what our friends jokingly called 'cardiac hill' .....certainly not for the faint hearted or those with mobility problems but the views from the castle are truly stunning.
Don't be out off if you can't do the walk, you can get a taxi into the town for 7euros, or water taxi for just 2 euros.

Your most difficult challenge will be deciding where to eat....the choice and quality is amazing. I would recommend Stakis restaurant, also owned by the family who run Byzantio......lovely culinary experience with a display of Greek dancing thrown in by brothers Vasili and Demitri.
Also would recommend the Five Senses, Filimilos and for a truly authentic Greek night, Bacchos....so much fun.
Apart from Parga's own beautiful scenery and beaches, a boat trip over to Anti Paxos and Paxos is well worth a visit. We too the Captain Hook boat over, which was a great day out. A couple of swim stops in the most beautiful crystal clear water and a 3 hr stop in Gaios.
We also took a boat ride out to Sarakinikos, a small shingle beach with turquoise waters. If you visit, take a walk up to the Taverna at the top of the hill....we shared a bowl of Mussells Saganaki, which was served with seasoned fries and bread.....enough for 2 people and delicious.......was seriously tempted to lick the bowl clean!!
The views from the veranda are amazing ......

The journey from the airport to Parga is a delight in itself and highlighted this is a beautiful part of the country that we want to experience and explore further and as soon as possible!!!

Room Tip: Rooms in the building nearest pool are smaller and modern, rooms in the building nearest entrance are more traditional but larger
