Amazing and breathtaking view. You can drive all the way up, the road is not so difficult even though it's steep. We walked among the peacocks (so no dogs allowed!). Wish we had gone there to watch the sunset - if you get the chance go in the early evening and stay till sunset. Not too crowded with people.

Just amazing views from the mountain and a lot of live animals, especially pavos ;-)

Very easy to get (if you have waze OR google maps) a mountain is located in the
middle of the northern-south part of the island
and because of its location - you have almost 270 degree of sea view - which is magnificent.

Important to note that current main pic that presented when searching the place in the site
(Lindos Acropolis) is of the completely another place

Looking for a nice view, go to the cross on the mount of Filerimos. A place where you also find a lot of peacocks!

Was staying nearby and decided to take a walk up the mountain to the monastery one morning. The climb took us just under an hour and 30 minutes from our hotel, but wasn't too difficult at all. There is one area which is rather steep before you join the road and I would certainly recommend you to wear good footwear for this point especially. The remainder of the walk followed the road which was a very comfortable walk and offered a lot of shade.
A novice climb for those who want to, and the rewards at the top are so worth it!
