Description: Walking through the narrow streets of old town Rethymnon you will see one of the oldest places called "Asikiko". Here you can feel the eastern taste of the local Cretan food, as well as experience the journey of oriental rhythms and aroma of shisha. We are now open every morning from 12AM when you can begin your wonderful journey...

The service is good, the prices are good and the food is outstanding. There is not much else to say, go and see for yourself.

Thank Filip E

We visited Asikiko a few times during our 2 weeks in Rythimno having visited a previous year - it’s even better than it was then...we tried eating in other places, including a much more expensive restaurant near the castle - the food, great house red wine and service is much better in Asikiko!
We ate something different each time and every meal was superb and excellent value. Great service with non-pushy waiting staff who all spoke good English. Asikiko is situated in the middle of old town next to the tall minaret so easy to find. Asikiko is a MUST VISIT - you won’t be disappointed!

My family and I took a one day trip to Rethymnon from Elounda (more than an hour drive). Being very hungry after wandering around in the many streets and allies, we were searching for a good place to have lunch in. The first thing that has drawn our attention is the beautiful des upign (later on it turned out that even the toilet upstairs were beautifuly decorated :) ). Anyway, the food was GREAT (especially the filled chicken and the mushroom risotto, there's also a giant dish serving all kinds of meat with local french fries, generously served and super tasty). The service was flawles.
I would definitely return when I have the chance.

We stopped here for lunch, encouraged by the number of locals eating there. It's a family run business we were very well looked after with friendly service from all.
There's a good selection of food from local dishes to standards. In a good location for lunch and people walking. We enjoyed our food of local sausages, a fried feta salad and raki to finish.
