Exceptional Cretan hospitality, service and dining - perfect for families, couples and business travellers.

The Galaxy Hotel Iraklio is our home
away from home. We’ve been staying at The Galaxy regularly over the past 14 years when visiting family in Heraklion for 2-3 week stays. The service, hospitality, ambience, dining options, pool and gym area are all exceptional.

The staff have become our friends and we look forward in seeing these wonderful people as much as our family. They look after us like we are their family and it makes our lengthy stay even better. They can’t do enough!

The facilities and rooms are so clean and well kept and maintained. We can’t fault the location either and being able to walk into the centre of town through a beautiful park is convenient for us too.

Room tip: Though not located in the centre of town we love the 15 minute walk and taxis are readily available.

Great comfy stay 5 *

5* Room was really comfy and really big. We had the executive double room. It was really nice , bathroom was nice and everything you expect from a 5 star hotel.
Only small complaint is the breakfast area is a little small. And once some if the hot food has run out, it takes abit of time for it to be refilled.

Room tip: executive double room is really nice

Faultless hotel

We have just returned from another wonderful stay at the Galaxy hotel. Everything about the hotel is faultless: the location, the size and quality of the room, hygiene, food and drink and, above all, the impeccable staff. There really can’t be anywhere better to stay in Heraklion! Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our visit so memorable.

A dream hotel

In every way a four star hotel. Very comfortable room with high end coffee machine and pods, excellent breakfasts, room service, three bars, lovely pool area, amazing staff, all so polite and helpful. I would stay here without hesitation when returning to heraklion.
A slight issue in that it was a good fifteen minute walk to the museum, and half an hour to the quay;. But the no 2 or no 20 bus stopped outside for the centre, and the stop for knossos was less than five minutes away. It would be helpful if this information was made available by the hotel.
There is an outstanding restaurant five minutes from the hotel just up the road towards the city centre.
All I all, a delightful stay and a hotel I cannot fault.

Poor customer service they don’t provide refund if boat cancels which they do all the time.

Hotel is fine. But our boat was cancelled from high winds. Our 2 night stay needed to be 1 night. The hotel said they would help onsite but after they did not provide any discount or refund. Hotel and food was good itself. Nice breakfast. Good location.
