When we arrived we were told we didn't have a room, but after an hour or so we were sent over the road to the sister hotel. The room was ok, clean and more modern compared to some other rooms.

The food was average (chips, pasta, salad) and the location was good (next to beach, bars, resturaunts etc).

The only nice staff was a woman behind reception and the resturaunt manager.

The bar staff in the day like to choose who to serve first, and on a night they seem to limit drinks like its coming out of thier wages. As a group of 8, 1 girl wanted another drink, but she was refused and told everyone on the table had to drink thier drinks before she got one. Ridiculous

Considering we went late aug/early sept, the night life was still good.

Definatly more of a couples hotel than a lads/girls holiday.

Room tip: Pick a room at the sister hotel as the ones in the main hotel are scummy

I was very apprehensive about staying at this hotel following all the bad reviews.
A friend and I wanted a cheap holiday for a week and neither of us had been to Crete so we booked via Thomas Cook. Read through the reviews and was fearing the worst.
Upon arrival (12.30am) the guy on reception was very welcoming and took time to go through everything. He offered us snacks and drinks in the restaurant prior to us going to our room which was a nice touch.
We were allocated a room in the Aris Studio block across the road from the pool bar. It was a larger than average studio apartment with balcony that had the bonus of a sea view as well as a pool view (if you leaned over). The room was cleaned every other day but fresh towels were provided every day. The room also had free unlimited wifi.
The pool area is cleaned everyday and it has a larger than average bar offering the usual alcoholic drinks, cocktails, soft drinks, tea & coffee. Plenty of seating space which is constantly monitored by the bar staff. The bar staff are very friendly and in the evening there is a good atmosphere.
The pool is a good size with plenty of sun beds as well as tables & chairs. Be prepared, the sun beds do get reserved early so if you want a good sunny position, get up early! We preferred to use the small pool area adjacent to where our room was. 20 second walk to the pool bar. Much quieter and less busy. Most days we had the pool to ourselves.
The restaurant is good and there is something for everyone. I'm a bit fussy with food but I found the selection good although it's not the biggest. Everything is fresh and replenished during each service. The staff are all very welcoming. The only criticism is that the men seem to be targeted regarding dress code. Ladies seem to be able to dine half naked but men are sent out of the restaurant to change if they are wearing a vest or sleeveless top! Maybe the hotel need to readdress this as it was happening a lot.
The all inclusive is from 10am - 11pm although the pool bar is open until 1am but deserted by 11pm when the free drinks finished.
All in all a very nice hotel, everything you need for a weeks break. If your not expecting The Ritz then you'll be absolutely fine.

Nothing good can really be said about this hotel. Disaster from start to finish. Firstly we turned up in the evening, only to be told they didn't have a room for us. So they sent us across to their sister hotel. We had to carry our cases across the road to be met by a non friendly reception staff was given a key too a room which we had too find ourselves. Walked into the room only to be met by a couple already in bed. HOW EMBARESSING. No apologise by reception but just given another key. Had to wait till 11 next morning for a room in the hotel we was suppossed to be staying in. Luggage back across the road again. The bathroom is like a cupboard and the bath is fine if your a hobbit. The food is limited and pratically the same everyday. The entertainment is non existant Nothing going on around the pool. Only one friendly barman Antan. Be careful of evening staff as they short change you. Upon leaving paid for room till 7pm but at 5.55pm knock on the door by cleaner followed by phone call by reception and was told to leave the room. Was told basically we was liars and had to come to reception to argue it. Basically read reviews before booking this hotel. I will not be staying here again nor will i recommend this hotel. Totally dissapointed.

This hotel is great if you want absolutely nothing to do and to be greeted by all staff (except the restaurant manager) with a frown/attitude...
Bar staff pick and choose who they like, what drinks they want to give to who, I read positive reviews on the bar staff before I came, can't understand how they received those! All inclusive is an over statement I have never seen such a poor choice of food in any hotel, ever. Same combinations every day.. the 'snack bar' is 4-5pm and consists of a tray of cake... every day. The evening bar is 'all inclusive' until 11pm, however if the bar staff see you or anyone on your table have a bit of their drink left they refuse to serve you, 10:55 came and I went to get myself and my partner one last drink and was told 'when you've finished that' pointing to my left over drink on the table, returned to the bar after queuing AGAIN at 11pm to be charged for my drink. WHAT A JOKE, the bar has two men behind it, only one serves at a time whilst the other stands and helps himself to beer, dancing and ignoring guests, they serve who they've taken to the most having shots with them leaving the que to grow and grow, fair enough enjoy a drink but when there's a que of 20 odd people, only one barman serving and then deciding to just drink themselves wasting your all inclusive time. Absolute jobsworth.
As for entertainment, nothing. Except on our 9th night some singing and dancing at the outdoor bar.. it was entertaining however one nights entertainment in our almost two week trip was a bit disappointing, the pool bar during the day had a sign claiming there were some daytime activities including; aqua gym, darts ect.. non to be seen or heard of through out our entire stay.
The rooms were cleaned every day and a reasonable size, just the bathroom floor that leaked and minute shower..
We had a good holiday and made the most of it, however the poor service was a nightly hurdle to overcome.
All in all good holiday, bad hotel.
