We were made to feel welcome the minute we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent - easy walk to Archaeological Museum, the main streets of Heraklion, tavernas, and the bus to Knossos. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice little balcony. There was excellent choice at breakfast.
In our 5 weeks of travelling around Greece and Malta this was our favourite hotel.
When our ferry to Santorini was cancelled we were so glad we could book into this hotel again.

Room Tip: The club rooms are worth paying a bit extra for.

We stayed for one night at the hotel, which was easy walking distance from the Port. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has embraced technology, with tablets in the rooms to control lights, tv, rtf and even a mobile phone that guests can use for the duration of their stay.

Parking - the hotel has an agreement with 2 car parks in the nearby vicinity.

Breakfast had a very good selection and service was prompt and polite.

If I were to return I would definitely stay here again.

A great hotel overlooking a park that was lively at night & quiet in the morning. Staff was friendly, courteous & helpful. We did not have a lot of time to plan. Emma at the front desk was extremely helpful with her concierge duties. After a long flight from the States, this hotel was an oasis in a busy city. Room was comfortable, clean & nicely designed. W/C was on one end of the vanity & the shower was at the opposite end, which gave us plenty of room to get ready. Loved the modern, crisp design with an iPad to control lights and air conditioning. Breakfast had a wide variety & was delicious.

Very clean hotel in a great location, the rooms are a good size and the technology is welcoming. The square across the street can be a bit loud at night but otherwise a perfect place to stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent. In May 2018 we spent twelve nights at the Olive Green Hotel. The hotel is very well located for the well-designed and extremely interesting Archaeological Museum and for buses to Knossos. It is also reasonably close to the bus station and the port. Cabs to the airport, twelve euros. The Olive Green is very clean. The beds are very comfortable; firm and supportive without being too hard. The shower has good pressure even on the top, sixth floor, where we were. The rooms are very well serviced and maintained by efficient, friendly staff. We had a room with a balcony to the rear of the hotel, which was shady in the afternoon and evening. The breakfast is buffet style, with a very good choice and range of food and pleasant, friendly staff. There is a restaurant associated with the hotel with a 10% discount for guests at the hotel. The food is good, service prompt, and the choice of Cretan wine is excellent. The hotel provides internet access via a free tablet in the room, plus a free mobile phone for the guests to use. The majority of staff are very friendly and very helpful. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance. We can thoroughly recommend the Olive Green Hotel and would happily stay there again.

Room Tip: The rear of the hotel is shady in the afternoons and quieter in the evenings
