After a day of walking around Chania we found ourselves near the end of the harbor at dinner time. There are a multitude of restaurants in the area so I quickly checked Trip Advisor for the highest rated near us. Kariatis came up as the highest rated so we navigated our way there. Once seated, after an extended wait, we had to ask for a waiter and watched another group leave after giving-up waiting for English menus. After we finished our meal I then had to go and ask for someone to bring the check.
The food was excellent to the point my wife threatened me with physical harm if I touched her leftovers the following day. We both had pasta dishes and they were wonderful. As other reviewers have mentioned it was a great diversion from the amazing Cretan food.
