We enjoyed five nights at this wonderful property. Highlights include the luxury of having breakfast delivered to your room - and what a tasty, gourmet breakfast at that! The bedroom was well appointed, incredibly clean and spacious, and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on (being a Greek brand of which the hotel was justifiably proud). The pillow menu was another welcome treat. The options were too wonderful to decide between.
Our room was no. 5 - a very quiet, being a room without adjoining rooms. It feels like its own private sanctuary. We enjoyed a meal one night at the hotel's restaurant, and would also recommend this for other guests wishing for a sumptuous feast.
Staff were helpful and friendly - thank you, Vassilis! Makes such a difference to the whole experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Room 5 is at the back of the hotel and very quiet.

Dear michellerilke,

It’s great to get such good feedback from your stay with us, thank you.

High quality food is of great importance to our hotel and we spare neither the cost nor the effort in order to maintain our high standards. Especially our breakfast has always been a topic of praise. I am glad you enjoyed it.

It is also very pleasing to hear that our restaurant was to your liking. Trying to offer our guests a different tasting experience than the one usually offered in the town of Chania is a great challenge and I am surely glad that you took the chance.

It is true that our spacious and comfortable rooms have always gained praise from the guests who chose to stay in our hotel. That is our main goal, for our guests to feel at home. I am really glad you enjoyed your spacious and secluded Junior Suite, its facilities and the peace and quiet its positioning provides.

Cleanliness of both common spaces and rooms is an absolute must for our hotel and we do not make any cutbacks. Thank you for noticing.

We feel very proud for our team here. We are fortunate enough to work with people who understand the true meaning of hospitality and are eager enough to apply it in their everyday routines. I will make sure Vassilis is notified of your kind words.

Reviews like this make it all worthwhile. We’re so pleased you had a great stay and really hope to see you again in the near future.

Kind Regards

We stayed for 2 nights during our Greece trip. Fabulous hotel, great service, absolutely amazing breakfast. We were traveling with another couple and we had both rooms I believe on the second floor. Both were incredibly comfortable and spacious with a private outdoor patio which we shared. We preferred our friends room as ours was a duplex, which was very nice, but the upstairs sleeping area just did not cool down as much as the downstairs section or our friends room, and hence was a bit too hot for us at night even with the A/C at its highest setting. We asked and the the hotel could not make it cooler. And for those of us at an age where we make a trip to the facilities in the middle of the night, going down the stairs was not ideal. But with that said, we still loved the Serenissima and recommend highly. The only other thing not perfect was that we did not understand that no cars are allowed in the old town of Chania and when we arrived we learned that we could not drive our rental car to the hotel to unload our bags....a slight hassle but no big deal.

Dear Journey1007,

Thank you for your positive comments; it’s great to hear you had such a good stay!

I am very glad to hear that our premises were to your liking; from our lobby and public spaces to our rooms. A lot of effort and time has been spent in our attempt to maintain our hotel’s standards in their current level.

The high quality of our food is also of great importance to us and we never neglect to preserve our high standards. It is nice to hear that you enjoyed your breakfast. The combination of the scenery in our veranda and the tasty, freshly prepared delicacies of our breakfast menu, has always gained praise from our guests.

It is also very pleasing to hear that you enjoyed our Superior Split Level Suite and its lovely Terrace. Even though the small issue you faced with your A/C saddens me, rest assured we will be looking into the matter closely and if any improvements are necessary, immediate action will be taken from our side.

Your frustration regarding cars not being allowed inside the Old Town of Chania is understandable and I totally sympathize with you. Nevertheless, sometimes in order to preserve something so beautiful and historically precious, such us the Old Town, sacrifices need to be made.

We’d love to see you back at the hotel again soon.

Kind Regards

Were there for the birthday of my wife. 3 people and we took the 5 courses menu (Terre and Mer) including pre-determined wines. Already the graphism of the plates is just a wonder. Then, if you think (like me) that you know Greek and Cretan cuisine, you'll have a greate tasting experience with the revisit of these plates by the chef. You'll be really happily surprised. These are now my tasting reference when I'll have some gastronomy in Greece. Last but not least, the wines... Cleopatra, the sommelier, has created such great wine-dish associations from great Greek and foreign wines. Pure pleasure. It was such a wonderfull experience discovering, tasting and conversing about wines with her. A my wife said, "This was the perffect closure for my birthday! Such a great moment."

The hotel is stunning: a beautiful conversion of an historical building. The staff are incredible - friendly, polite and so helpful. We have been visiting Greece (mainland and islands) for over 40 years and have been waiting to find somewhere as special as Serenissima - the wait is over. The Terre and Mer menus were fabulous: creative, incredible flavours and paired with amazing wines. Kleopatra, the sommelier, was so knowledgeable and her descriptions of the wines and their matching to the chef's creation were pure poetry! We can't wait to return. Ian and Celia

Dear Celij21,

Thank you for your positive comments; it’s great to hear you had such a good stay!

Our hotel’s ownership has invested a lot in refurbishing and decorating this 16th century jewel and will continue to do show even more, in our constant efforts to maintain our high standards. I am glad our premises were to your liking.

The human factor though is the one that makes a hotel successful. Our staff’s dedication to our guest’s needs and their positive attitude is what makes us stand out as a hotel.

High quality food is of great importance to our hotel and we spare neither the cost nor the effort in order to maintain our high standards. I am very glad that you enjoyed our innovative menus. I will make sure our Chef is informed of your kind words and I will personally transfer your comments to Kleopatra, our sommelier. She will surely be very pleased to hear them.

Reviews like this make it all worthwhile. We’re so pleased you had a great stay and really hope to see you again in the near future.

Dear Kyagre,

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback.

I am really pleased you enjoyed your stay in our hotel and mostly because one of the main reasons for that, was our staff. I will make sure that your kind words will be passed on to Rudina and Katharina. Our work mentality has always been customer oriented and it means a lot to the team and I to know that our hard works pays off!

We trust that our hotel is very well located in the town of Chania. When walking out of our hotel, you are just a few steps away from a very unique surrounding area, the Venetian Old Town of Chania.

It is true that our spacious and comfortable rooms have always gained praise from our guest and this is our main goal, for our guests to feel at home.

Our breakfast is also a great asset for our hotel. It is nice to hear that you enjoyed it.

We’d love to see you back at the hotel again soon.

Kind regards
