From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they went out of their way to help us. Valantis helped us get settled and explained the directions of how to get around Athens.
On my Birthday Katerina and Yannis bought a cake and sung Happy Birthday, what a lovely thing to do : ) and then Katerina went out of her way to help my husband plan my Birthday night, the Hotel Shuttle took us to a lovely restaurant and then for a small fee picked us up and drove us to A is for Athens and we sat up on the roof top bar and saw the Acropolis lit up at night, they then picked us up and dropped us back to the Hotel, it was a fantastic night and so good to be transported around and not have to worry about trying to get a Taxi.
The Hotel is in a really good location just a 15 minute walk to the Metro which takes you to all the highlights of Athens, there is even a stop at the Acropolis.
Just around the corner from the Hotel (5 min walk) is a lovely Marina with heaps of affordable and nice restaurants all along the waterfront.
Our room was really nice and spotlessly clean.
I would highly recommend this Hotel, we had been travelling for 7 weeks through Europe prior to coming to Athens and this was definitely the best service by far.

Room Tip: We were in Room 116 and it was excellent.

We stayed 2 nights prior to our cruise and found the location perfect, close to the marina, coffee shops and shopping . The service was outstanding, arranging transfers, advising on sight seeing and storing our luggage. The lobby and rooms are bright and modern. Definitely recommend..

This hotel was a real find. It's in a rather tatty looking side street but inside it is excellent all round. The rooms are modern, clean and well thought-out.
The facilities, position, staff, breakfast - they have got everything right.

Overall, outstanding.

The hotel is within walking distance of the port which was a huge plus as we used the ferries. The hotel has complimentary shuttle service to the port as well as to and from nearby locations when checking in and checking out. Hotel can be reached almost directly by X96 bus from the airport.
The rooms are new and well maintained, great bathroom facilities, nice comfy beds and most rooms have terraces one can lounge out on.
There are lots of restaurants nearby, I personally recommend for the younger crowds Giza College which is a fantastic place just to hang out and relax.
The service and people are extremely friendly and helpful. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.
They have a breakfast for a fee in the morning which I personally found much better than typical American hotel breakfasts.
I will definitely stay here if I am back in the area.

As a couple, we stayed at Phidias for two nights in late August prior to boarding our cruise ship in the port of Piraeus.
Katerina, Pericles, Valentis, Yiannis, Peter, you made our stay at your hotel so very enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble to make us feel extra welcome. (Do excuse us if our spelling of your names is incorrect.)
When we arrived at the hotel's entrance, there were willing hands to help us with our luggage up the steps to reception. Cold glasses of water were soon brought out to us. We should mention that there is a chair-lift at the entrance for anyone not able to tackle the steps.
The hotel has been completely modernised and our quiet room on 1st floor had all that was needed for our two nights stay. It was also spotlessly clean as was the bathroom with over-bath shower. We also had a large outside balcony which was quite private, although the addition of a small table and chairs would have been useful so that we could sit out if desired. There is a small lift beside reception.
Free wifi was very welcome so that we could catch up with family after our long-haul flights.
Katerina was most helpful in suggesting a perfect place to have our evening meal at a marina-side restaurant just a short walk from the hotel.
Zea marina is light years away in size from the huge port of Piraeus and it was very nice to stroll along the walkway and then sit outside overlooking the water and look at all the smaller yachts etc. moored there.
We had decided before we left home that we would like to spend our one free day in visiting Aegina for a while, which is one of the closest islands by ferry from Piraeus. We enquired by email to the hotel about booking tickets and the Phidias staff were kind enough to recommend a local travel agent where we could book and pay online and then they would then deliver our tickets to the Phidias, which is what happened. After a lovely buffet breakfast the next morning, the hotel complimentary shuttle dropped us off at the gate for the ferry. We had opted for a one-way ticket on the fast Flying Dolphins hydrofoil because we wanted an open-option on how long we would stay on Aegina. It is very easy to buy a ticket to return once on the island. We came back to Piraeus on a car ferry which was a longer journey but with more open seating and bar facilities if needed. The hotel's shuttle will pick you up at the port if they know what time you will be returning.
For our evening meal on our return, we chose to visit the very pretty restaurant area behind the marina which was set in a lovely tree'd area and very popular.
We were not disappointed in service, price or menus.
There is a good supermarket just a couple of minutes walk from Phidias, which provided us with last minute staples for our cruise. It also sells wine and spirits. When exiting the hotel, turn left and walk to the end of the street, then turn right and it's across the street. Reception will give directions. There is also a Starbucks just a few minutes away opposite the marina.
On our morning of departure, the hotel's shuttle was once again ready to transport us to our correct pier to board our ship.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the Phidias Piraeus.
Thank you all - we would love to return.

Room Tip: A walk-in shower is easier to access, especially to older people.
