“Regional cooking in the heart of Athens”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

This place is located on an unprepossessing street, but don't let that put you off. The building is a charming old one and you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the first floor restaurant. Once you're there it's very pleasant. The young staff are welcoming and attentive, and seem to have a real enthusiasm for the speciality dishes that come from the Peloponnese. There are plenty of classic Greek ones to choose from if you're not feeling like something new. Though there's no view the interior is tastefully decorated and you could almost feel you were in someone's home. No airport lounge ambience here.

“Great food, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service”
Reviewed 13 April 2012

We went here on the last night of our 4 day visit to Athens. We had eaten well prior to this, doing lunch and dinner in the many eateries in the Plaka and surrounding areas, never disappointed eating Greek food. I normally don't select a restaurant from trip adviser because I've been disappointed in the past (I.e. in Rome last year, but that's another review). Manh Manh however brought a different experience to the tastebuds. I had mussels to start, my husband the salad (both huge portions). We both had the roast chicken for mains.....no room for a sweet! It all tasted delicious, looked amazing and went down very well with a bottle of house red. Prices were very reasonable and I would definitely recommend going for a taste of non touristy food.

“great food, bad service”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

A cousin of mine who lives in Athens suggested that we went to Manh Manh so we did and he was right: great food, easy to locate, nice atmosphere, great prices! There were three of us and we ordered a salad to share, three main dishes and a bottle of their- excellent- house wine and we paid something around €70. You should definately try the salads and the rooster! The only bad thing was the service: non existent! We had to get up and go to the kitchen to call the waitress, 4 times! We did not let this ruin the experience though! You should definately try it!

“An Interesting dining experience”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

I've never eaten food quite like at Manh Manh! We decided to visit based on trip advisor and I'm glad we did. a gorgeous restaurant with an very interesting menu

Manh Manh is upstairs and we would have passed it by if we weren't looking for it. The menu was an interesting selection and we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat! we opted for a couple of shared starters, mains and a couple of shared desserts.

feta ravioli and meatballs to start were delish then we moved on the mains which was 'different' and perhaps not what we were expecting! Cod fish was battered and fried, and I would have preferred a nice fresh piece of fish, but it was still really tasty. The pork main, was quite odd and my friend didn't finish it as it was really rich. We ordered the hazelnut dessert...rich delish chocolate mousse! and the cheesecake with tomato (yes tomato!) chutney....very odd combination! the cheescake was absolutely devine...fresh and tasty. and the tomato chutney was really just tomato juice and really had no place of a cheesecake, but bonus points for trying!

Overall this restaurant was lovely - lovely dining room. our waiter was friendly and the food was tasting....even if a little off the norm! an interesting and dining experience
