My friend and I stayed only one night at the Adrian Hotel. It's very clean, the reception staff were extremely helpful, great views of the Acroplis from the roof garden! The location is great, but a little confusing to get to from the closest metro station. The breakfast was yummy, they had free wifi, we had a little balcony overlooking the street. I would go back for sure!

This was value for money. In the heart of the Plaka district. It is close to everything you want to see in Athens. The breakfast was also very good.

Here's some serious advice to all those stating in Athens. Location for me is everything and this hotel is right in the centre of the Plaka district, which in my opinion is the only area you want to be in when in Athens. The rooms aren't terribly big, but they have the best breakfasts on an outdoor terrace that overlooks the Acropolis, and the location is perfect to get to all my favorite spots ...... Would easily go back again :)

Room Tip: Get the upper room(s) that overlook the Acropolis.

The Adrian Hotel was a great place to start our travels in Greece. The hotel has a great location in the heart of the Plaka on famous Adrianou Street. Some rooms have a view of the Acropolis and others do not. Those that don't might not have a great view period, but you really shouldn't be spending too much time in your room anyways. The views at breakfast are fantastic from the rooftop and the breakfast was one of the best we had in Greece, with eggs and bacon as well as traditional Greek foods such as yogurt and honey. The room itself was not particularly exciting. We did not have a view of the Acropolis although we had a nice size balcony. Others we were staying with had an Acropolis view but their room smelled quite musty. Our room had no odor. The bathroom was decent and we had a full size bathtub although only a hand shower (which is common in Europe I believe). We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but the host was able to get us taxis when necessary and informed us of metro strikes and student demonstrations as soon as he knew about them to help us get around the city as best as possible. The location of the hotel really made it fantastic. If you are a capable walker almost all the sites of Athens are within walking distance with only the National Archeological Museum a bus or taxi ride away. The beds themselves were a bit hard and not as comfortable as I would have liked, but these beds were in line with all the others we slept on during our travels.

Very ordinary hotel for the price we paid, it was old, the rooms smelled and ridiculously overpriced. This was more a 2 star than 3 star. Bathroom was old and I preferred not to shower than to step inside the bath. It is in a good location (walking distance to the Acropolis). This is more a €60 per night 2 start not €115 per night that we paid... very disappointed. I am sure there are better places to stay than this.
