This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the food is good and there's a beautiful view of the Acropolis from the restaurant. It's well located in Plaka but also close to Constitution Square and some lovely shops and museums. There are swimming pools and a health spa. The hotel can also book you on to some wonderful organised guided tours.

yes the location is good, yes the place is very pretty and classy, yes the food is good... But what is that compared to the fact that the entire staff has the worst customer service ever? I did a business trip to Greece last month, and got my reservation mixed up, when I got to the lobby after 36 hours of traveling and asked for my reservation, the receptionist (a pretencious guy) looks at me from head to feet and says "There is no Barbara here" (looking at the reservations book). So I give him the confirmation and he realizes I confused the "Electras" (there are several Electra Hotels in Athens). So he shows me the paper and gives me the "can't you read?" look and says, "it says ELECTRA HOTEL" NOT Electra Palace. I can give you the directions so that you can walk there... (It was almost midnight). I just turned away with a forced thank you and took a cab that the buttons called for. Because of this experience I believe this place sucks... Just because I looked like crap, doesnt mean I cant pay for a hotel like this...

Great hotel, so central to everything in Athens, walking distance from Plaka area and shopping area. Roof garden superb with delightful pool and a view to be envied.
Breakfast in the garden excellent with huge variety of fresh foods, loved the make your own waffles!
Would happily go back.

Room Tip: Higher floors quieter. Rooms not huge and suite really 2 rooms opened up and not really worth it for...

I have stayed many times at the Electra Palace and just wanted to let you all know that it is a beautiful hotel in Plaka. It is in a quiet side street and around the corner from all the historic attractions. The hotel has a large beautiful garden where you have you breakfast looking up at the acropolis. It has 2 swimming pools one indoor and the other is on the roof top right next to the acropolis it feels that you can reach out and touch it, by far the best views. The rooftop restaurant serves amazing food and the atmosphere is surreal. When we checked in we were upgraded to the suite and my word was it grand, loved everything about the hotel from the service, the buffet breakfast, to the free wifi and of course the views.
