Spent a couple of days here before start of our cruise and vacation, and must say this was a real treat. The roof top pool has great views of Athens and a killer greek salad. And the restaurant / bar on top of the building simply can not be beat for views of the Acropolis. We also had a room with small balcony facing the Parliament building (312), the square and the Acropolis, and had a ringside seat to the demonstrations (quite peaceful) being held the night before the latest Greek national election (round 2). Exercise facility in lower floor is first rate, and spa is world class. Large department store is directly behind the hotel and many important sites in Athens are in easy walking distance. We definitely will be staying here (for a longer stay) next time we are in Athens!

Very much enjoyed the hotel. Very nice rooms and room service. A bit pricey but with great location and beautiful rooftop restaurant well worth the stay.

The GB is an oasis of comfort, beauty, and pleasure in the heart of Athens. The renovation that was completed a few years ago is stunning and highlights the glorious beaux arts architecture. We had a perfect three day visit -- gorgeous room, outstanding service, great concierge support, and delicious food at the 8th floor dining room with a postcard view of the Acropolis. And the pool on the seventh floor was a godsend during the 100 degree heat (okay, maybe we spent a little too much time lounging by the pool and drinking cafe fredo, and should have been hitting the antiquities more!). Luxury Collection hotels are always a treat, but Tim Ananiadis, the General Manager, should be congratulated for the flawless service and an extraordinarily well run hotel.

Luxurious hotel with rich stylings (think brocade, marble and a chandelier in the bedroom!). The rooftop pool and rooftop restaurant are sleeker and more contemporary in design, and both have incredible views - the former of St. George's church and the latter has an UNBELIEVABLE view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. The service was good; could have been a little more attentive for a hotel of this quality.

Room Tip: Worth the extra money for a view of the Acropolis if your stay in Athens is a short one.
