The apartment has recently been completely refurbished and is modern in finish, spacious and comfortable. All the details are well thought through and of high quality. Cristina (the owner) obviously takes a great pride in the apartment and went out of her way to make us welcome, including giving us recommendations about where to visit and good restaurants (which those we visited certainly were). For a city apartment it has good views towards the river and this helps give it an airy and open feeling. The location is quiet but with bus/tram stops close by and a good supermarket just a few minutes walk away. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk along the riverside into the historic old town, an interesting walk in its own right. Porto's public transport system is good and cheap (compared to London) if you want to use it, with good connections to the coast and to other historic towns which are well worth a visit. We would certainly use it again on a future visit to Porto.
One thing to be aware of is that the apartment is on the second and third floor of an old building with narrow and quite steep stairs which might not suit all guests.

We spent 4 days with our 2 daughters in December.
The apartment was really redecorated and all the furniture as the kitchen was new. In the kitchen you can find everything for cooking.
With this redecoration they have created an enchanted ambiance. You will stay more time in the apartment only for enjoying of this magic ambiance, almost in the second floor.
The kitchen in the first floor and the bedroom in the second floor have an amazing view to the Duero River. Also in the bedroom there is a nice balcony.
In the street you would find parking place without paying and one supermarket.
The touristic bus has an stop just in front of the apartment.
Cristina, the landlady was very kind and help us with a lot of advices, recommending us places for visiting or restaurants.
The only thing to consider if you travel with people in wheelchair or babies, is that there isn´t an elevator for going up to the second floor in which the apartment is located.
We will repeat and recommend to our friends!
