The huge dome is closed for refurbishment but these are pleasant gardens to stroll around with good views over the Douro, interesting quirky corners and peacocks, and even a Michelin star restaurant

A beautiful park that offers a great opportunity to escape and relax for a but. Last summer I came here to read a book, last week I just walked through the park and listened to music while enjoying the pretty view over the city. A great spot in Porto

We walked across the hills to the dome shaped palace to see what wr coild...given that its closed.

The gardens are quite stunning and the views of the river likewise. Tieredgardens with seemingly no lower exit. We walked up and down and enjoyed the repeat views.

Peacocks and hens live in the upper garden and one seemed to pose on demand for the camera.

The gardens here are incredible... there are peacocks and colorful roosters strolling around unintimidated, lots of flowers and ... well, the vegetation is really beautiful, and the views from up top ... I have no words :) you can see the whole city and the river meandering through it like a story. And while your at it you can also walk north to the art museum ... have fun!

This attraction looks impressive from a distance. Then you get up close and realize its closed, out of repair and looks like its starting to fall apart. Hopefully, they will do some refurbishing on it soon, but right now, it's not terribly pretty at all. The grounds were also partially locked off, and rather hard to navigate.

The peacocks, Egyptian ducks and other fun birds that wander the grounds are fun to see though. Though those roosters are mighty aggressive! Watch out. :)
