My wife and I just stayed at Lounge Inn. It is a cute little hotel a very short walk from the Marquis metro station so it is very convenient. Pedro, the manager, is incredibly friendly and very helpful with information. He also speaks very good English. We had a lovely, but small, balcony looking at the church next door. The spires are lighted at night for a great view sipping wine on the patio before bed. We even received a small bottle of local port as a welcoming gift in our room. We really enjoyed our stay here but there are a few things to be aware of. Like most places we have stayed, the rooms are very small. Also, there was an odd musty smell in the room. We quickly got used to it especially after leaving the bathroom window open. My wife is often sensitive to smells but she was fine. Don’t let these issues discourage you from staying at Lounge Inn. It’s in a very homey neighborhood with a very good and inexpensive Portuguese restaurant right across the street.
It is easy to miss as you are walking down the street. Watch for a white sign on the side of the building.More
