We didn't eat on the restaurant side but ate in the snack bar side with all the pilgrims. Good selection, appropriate prices, r owner was very helpful and knowledgable. This is a must do stop on the caminho.

By the way, just past the bar is a small shopping centre which includes a supermarket and it's not marked on my maps.

Thank Peter G

We found the hotel during a tv program about Santiago's pilgrimage. We tried one of the restaurant's speciality (roast) and it was sublime. 1/2 roast would feed (at least) 4! Do recommend it.

I returned to Pedra Furada to experience more of the same excellent hospitality I experienced here before: for dinner, and again the service and freshness of the food did not fail: a warm fresh and rich soup o legume: carrots, kale, turnip, followed by a hearty plate of proteineous melange of beans, rice and breaded codfish - fried to perfection - dry fluffy dumpling, topped off with the popular red house wine from the not so distant Douro valley. I have to complement Antonio for is continuous presence and an eye on everything that the serving follows smoothly assisted by the well in tune servant camarera. Thanks Antonio you're always attentive and entertaining...ah not to forget your jazzy blues music in the background, so fluid !!

This place is fantastic! There's a wonderful atmosphere inside, filled with locals and pilgrims. The interior is nicely decorated with bright colours, artwork and photos/articles of the place through the years. The food is home cooked and full of flavour- good value for money. The hosts are very welcoming and happy to help with all they can.
This place is a little gem! Will definitely be back when I'm next in the area.
