Perhaps the weight of expectation given the incredibly high ratings this restaurant has received, but unfortunately one that did not live up to the billing for us. As noted, the restaurant is quite out of the way, so one to note if you're planning for drinks locally before or after.
Service was polite and generally attentive, though we did notice that quality seemed to vary between servers and we found ourselves having to continually call ours for extra water, menus, to clear plates.
The food is tasty and unpretentious, but at the prices charged (circa €20 for a main course) of average quality and presentation - the octopus, whilst nice, is essentially just grilled octopus on a bed of sweet potato. Nice and unfussy, but expensive at the price for what you get in terms of skill, taste and presentation (and I'm used to London prices!).
Starters were definitely the star of the show from a taste perspective, and the wine list is interesting and keenly priced.
Overall, worth a stop, but not worth of the praise lavished on it, and there are better options in less awkward locations.
