Perhaps the weight of expectation given the incredibly high ratings this restaurant has received, but unfortunately one that did not live up to the billing for us. As noted, the restaurant is quite out of the way, so one to note if you're planning for drinks locally before or after.

Service was polite and generally attentive, though we did notice that quality seemed to vary between servers and we found ourselves having to continually call ours for extra water, menus, to clear plates.

The food is tasty and unpretentious, but at the prices charged (circa €20 for a main course) of average quality and presentation - the octopus, whilst nice, is essentially just grilled octopus on a bed of sweet potato. Nice and unfussy, but expensive at the price for what you get in terms of skill, taste and presentation (and I'm used to London prices!).

Starters were definitely the star of the show from a taste perspective, and the wine list is interesting and keenly priced.

Overall, worth a stop, but not worth of the praise lavished on it, and there are better options in less awkward locations.

Was hard to locate.
In the middle of now where.
Interesting Restaurant.
Very innovative decor.
Breads were are 2.5E per person, but did not taste good.
We ordered Salmon and Tenderloin.
Salmon was top. Very well made.
The steak, although expensive at 24 euros, was not up to the mark...
Service was nice.
A great restaurant.
Worth suggesting.
They just need to source better beef and buy expensive mushrooms and baby carrots and snow peas etc, to go with the meal... Button mushrooms is just too cheap... Not appropriate.

We ended up in this restaurant as a suggestion of one of the co owners Louisa. We originally booked their other restaurant but it was not open yet after some rebuilding. So we were warmly welcomed that night and we got a little tour around the old house, in which the restaurant is situated. Had an amazing meal, excellent salmon and we shared the big dessert plate, loved the chocolate/ passion fruit with the small sugar explosions in my mouth. Would absolutely recommend this place, need to make a reservation if you want to be sure of a table.

I hear about this restaurant from different persons and it was very good. A but difficult to find because this was a old meeting place from journalist. You can’t see what is inside.
Make a reservation!

Service was perfect and food was great.

Great building with garden and vintage style.

Uber dropped us off and we searched for a while, but found it. What a beautiful place. We were there on a slow night, so only one of the 3 dining rooms were full. The experience starts out with the cover, which as bread baked with yogurt, a carrot spread that tastes like roasted peppers, and wonderful olive oil. the music is very good, lots of jazz. The appetizers are very flavorful. I had the squid, and it was creative. My wife had the eggplant, and it was delicious. For the main course, I had the ham risotto, and my wife had the octopus. Both excellent. We had 4 glasses of wine, 1 white, 1 rose and 2 reds and the pours were very generous. Get the dessert sampler at the end. It is 12e, but it is worth every euro of it. The chef/owner is a delightful self taught Brazilian who came to the table and told us about the food. You get a complementary glass of port which is a nice end to a wonderful evening. We had a ton of food and 4 glasses of wine and it was only 87e.
