Nice amenities for a hotel in a great location. It’s just walking distance from many shops and restaurants. It’s just a few blocks from the Praça do Comércio so you have access to most lines of transportation nearby. We were able to walk to Castro De Sao Jorge but make sure you’re ready for the hike uphill. This place is right in the mix of it all so be prepared for all the commercial activity and busy hours of the day but I think it’s a great centralized place to stay in if you’re a first timer to Lisbon.

My wife and I were originally due to stay here at New Year but that trip got cancelled, One thing about the locations is its right in the middle of everything and would be a superb location at New Year as two main squares are at either end of the road.

We had noticed some comments about the size of the bedrooms but found them to be absolutely fine. Yes, not huge but enough storage space for our things and plenty of room to move around. Fridge and coffee facilities were good features.

Our room was on the first floor, facing the street and external noise was minimal thanks to the excellent glazing.

Staff were very polite during our stay. First night the reception staff helped fix a wifi issue on our tablets for us.

Breakfast was mixed and this is where the "little niggles" come in. The hotel is small, and therefore the dining area small. Normally this isn't a problem but if you get a sudden rush, space can be a problem. The food was varied. Both my wife and I found plenty of choice but there was 1 issue, again due to the size of the hotel. If you arrived when the hot food had been put out, you will have no problems..BUT the small number of guests meant it didnt need to be replenished very quickly and one morning it was cold when we arrived, but when replenished was absolutely fine. Both toaster and pancake maker were in full working order.

Within the reception area of the hotel is a small seating area, with a TV showing news channels. There is also a coffee machine for which you pay a small amount (standard coffee in the rooms were free and replenished every day).

We noted during our stay that building works is being carried out in the building next doors, and the hotel will be expanding. We had no issues with the works during our stay, and thinks the expansion may help with the breakfast room issues above (more space, and more guest for turnaround).

Room tip: Don't be put off by rooms facing the road. Glazing is excellent.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here. Room was very comfortable and clean. Had a small kitchen but did not use it. Morning breakfast was just what we wanted too. Good selection.
Most of all the location is excellent. Right in the middle of everything you want to see and do. Shops, cafes, bakeries and sights. Will stay here again and highly recommend to anyone.
Also the staff was very helpful.

We have just returned from Lisbon. The hotel was a fab location minutes close to everywhere we wanted to visit. Cannot fault the position at all. Check in was nice and easy. We were in room 403 which was a large room, very clean and light. Large double bed and a GREAT Shower! We also had a Juliet Balcony, a table and chairs. A full kitchen which i was not expecting. A couple of teas and coffees were on offer - powdered milk you had to buy for 20Cent. Free safe, iron and hairdryer also in the room.
The room was quite hot so we opened a window, that was a mistake as the building next door is having some building work and we were woken up everyday at 5am. If you closed the window the noise was not as bad but still could hear the work being done. I do think the booking agent (hotel.com) should of notified us to advise of this work.
Other than that the hotel was Great and I would recommend and I would personally stay here again.

Location excellent to explore Lisbon. Reception staff very courteous. Very very small studio apartment. Bathroom cleanliness could be improved. Shower needed a scrub around corners. Breakfast a disappointment. Broken toaster and pancake maker(5 days) staff not efficient in providing clean plates and replacing breakfast platters.
