This is a truly remarkable building that has been saved and now houses some exquisite Portuguese brands all housed in free flowing linked rooms off the magnificent central staircase. The murals are beautiful and the scope of the mansion remarkable. Worth a visit just to marvel that this piece of architecture has been recycled. Its off the beaten track but the area is worth the effort.

Embaixada, is an amazing concept store with specialty boutiques wrapped around a courtyard in a mansion. The best way to describe the experience for me was to imagine you were coming home and entering your house, you walk in the lobby and are greeted with the most amazing architectural entry way and staircase. You then turn to the living room and you are in a window lit living room setting with a cocktail waiting for you. After you have had a few drinks, you can start shopping at one of the 30 stores that carry mostly local wares and furniture. There is an eclectic mix of products ranging from mens, women's, kids and home furnishings, something for everyone. each room is spectacular and feels like you walked into a movie set. Take your time and enjoy being in the space, and take a break from walking the hills of Lisbon. It was also off the beaten path so it did not feel too touristy, just glamourous.

This is an unique concept shopping mall. Small and compact within a old Arabian Palace. Stores carry Portuguese brands and designs. Good craftsmanship, but out of my price range.
Since it is an old building, the ventilation probably is not adequate. The location of the WC is right by the entrance staircase. As we opened the door to enter the mall, the stinky toilet smell filled the front hall.
The property management need to address this as it is off putting for guests.
Outside of Embaixada, is the Botanical Garden of Lisbon. We went there around Christmas time and there were night market selling local artisan goods on the sidewalk.

Visit an old beautiful private Palace - have a drink or see the "butcher" Restaurant in the Basement!
